Even though they weren’t taking their relationship for granted, both of them still had the idea lingering in the back of their heads, that regardless of being true mated, something was bound to go wrong.

The impossible was always possible for them. In goodness, such as saving the world, and in badness, like getting sucked into the desert void in the first place. So, when Logan decided to stay in Wade’s world, and a concern of his was ruled to be completely impossible, he should have known that it was very fucking possible.
