Summary
The 118 get a call to some nearby woodlands where the police are waiting for their assistance. Athena tells them that they need to help with a little boy that had gotten his leg stuck in a beartrap. All seems simple but then she tells them that the boy is a feral child, animalistic and frightened, and was throwing rocks at people who tried to get closer. Buck and Eddie are tasked to get him to safety.
The boy is scared of everything around him, people, sounds, objects, the wind, the smells. Terror is all the boy knew until he found something he wasn’t scared of.
And its name was Evan Buckley. :3Warnings - Heavy descriptions of medical trauma, child abuse, neglect and injury.
Queue found family, Christopher being an amazing big brother and the 118 being the best family in the entire world. :3

Summary
His recovery from being struck by lightning finally over, Buck is approved to go back to work, but light duty only. Rather than spend a month as the man behind on every shift for a month, Bobby finds an alternative for him: a month doing demonstrations at schools throughout the LA area. So of course, Buck jumps at the opportunity. Little does he know, this one decision is going to change everything. Canon compliant up to season 7, then some things in season 7 still happen, but maybe at different sequences than canon. Absolutely not compliant with 8 or 9.

It’s been 1185 days since Steve Mcgarrett found out he had a son. It’s been 1184 days since his son was stolen from the nursery. All he’s got is 3 picture of his son, he’s never seen his eyes he has no idea what colour, the little hair he had was dark like his. Did it get lighter would it get light? But the birthmark was so pink above his left eye and eye brow, he’s studied the photos he could draw them from memory.
Little did he know that a 22 year old from Hershey holding a little boy in her arms would change his life for the better.

Their grief was a cage, a gilded one, but still. And they locked me and Maddie in there with them. Maybe, doing this, asking them to sign away any claim they have to me? It-it sets them free, sets us all free.”
Bobby’s not thrilled about the metaphor, and even less thrilled about the anecdote.
Stories like that remind Bobby why simply telling the whole truth – that Bobby and Athena were pursuing an adult adoption of Buck – is out of the question. Margaret and Phillip are manipulative at best, abusive at worst; and their reaction to such an announcement would be wholly unpredictable. Keeping the adoption out of things is the best course of action, Bobby knows that. But God does he want to rub it in their faces that, for the rest of his life, he gets to be Buck’s dad and claim him as his son.
