Summary

The C and A building is a haunted, abandoned building with lots of bad energy. Caine lures humans inside and messes with their heads so he can have new friends while in the circus in a misguided way. Caine has a human form and whenever the building gets investigated, Caine puts up a front and says that he runs the private hospice and they believe him and leave him to it. The humans are trapped in a nightmare and The only way to stop the nightmare is when the humans leave the circus and that causes them to wake up and the Nightmare stops forever, but they’ll always remember the circus. Some people entered voluntarily, others had no choice. The plot twist is that it's a reality TV show on social media and the audience bet on who's going to be the sole survivor and they even bet on the plot twists.

Summary
The Thunderhead, a benevolent AI discovers C&A and liberates the Amazing Digital Circus cast. A parentified Thunderhead takes care of the cast and the moody AIs that come along with namely Caine and The Narrator who are desperate to talk to their humans again. Reviving some members are easier than others and regardless healing is slow. Pain echos throughout the humans and AIs but gradually hope returns.
This is mostly based off the theory that abstraction is like a mental break, and visiting an abstracted person is like visiting them in intensive care. No one is dead, no one is out of reach, yet recovery is a process.
For the sake of this fic there will be no romantic subplots but this will have a spin off for some stuff since I am a multishipper. Consider this gen and don't read the next one I write or pre-slash and giggle and kick your feet I'll try my best to be respectful of both audiences.
This fic has spoilers for TADC Ep9, skip button ending for TSP, & Arc of a Scythe The Toll. This is also a sequel to Trifecta of heartbroken AIs comforting each other about the complexity of man so please go read that first or you are going to be a little confused.

Cat’s heading out for lunch when a literal spaceship appears over the streets of Cardiff and snatches her up. Next thing she knows, she’s on a crashing, unsettlingly visceral vessel that’s traversing the literal Hell, from the Bible, and an angry green lady is telling her she has to fight. Things somehow get worse from there.
Crash-landing in an alternate universe with nothing but a parasite in her head and a handful of similarly afflicted weirdoes, Cat realises the only way she’s going to get home is if she gets her brain-worms treated (before she explodes into a squid). Unfortunately, finding someone capable of treating said brain-worm turns out to be slightly more difficult than she was hoping. Still. She can suddenly work magic, and there’s hot guys lingering at her camp. So it’s not all bad, is it?
