Summary
These mini chapters are a bit more indulgent for me as a writer, and while still canon to the main story for "Imp Inc 2001", they are written more so for fun/more character interactions without bloating the original work too much. You can enjoy them or skip them entirely and not be missing anything too important.
For this first side story, it takes place after the chapter "Perseverance." For anyone not caught up, "Higgins" is Hazel's pet hamster. An illustration of him can be found in the chapter "Study Buddy." Art for this story is by Nathycartoons over on Instagram. :)
Side note: Almond is based heavily off a very close friend of mine, so when writing her/her interactions with Hazel, I can't help but imagine them sharing the same bizarre sense of humor we do. What inspired me to write this very story was a sketch I drew back when we were in high school of a hamster. I had written "His name is Shit." on it, and we cackled for DAYS over it. To this day, (nearly 15 years later) I STILL have that drawing on my phone :,)
