True Age (IN PROCESS OF BEING REWRITTEN)

Summary:

This is being rewritten! Part 2 in the series will be the rewritten version. Some chapters will be very similar but less cringe. To be cringe is to be free but I simply cannot!! continue working on this knowing what the past chapters are like. I also understand fanfiction and AO3 better now!
However this is not a guarantee I will finish it, but the hope is that it rekindles my interest and plans.

Our buddies Rex, Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-wan, Cody, and their buddies get into a fun little situation. I’ve never used AO3 help
Basically they go to Sith temple and whoop-de-do some how Rex + 501st’s age acceleration has been erased!! Wow *jazz hands*

Notes:

Y’all I’m not even going to pretend i know how to use this
Also I write shorter chapters compared to the people I read
I write like 500-2000 words and it varies on the subject and character
Also help? I don’t know how to do this <3

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Mission | Anakin

Summary:

Wow it’s the short beginning thing that sets you off into the story wow

Chapter Text

As wind blew through the huge halls, Anakin's men clutched their guns tighter. Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-wan, the 212th, and the 501st had been sent on a very important mission. They were sent to some backwater outer rim planet, that had a secret. An ancient Sith temple was located below the surface and they had been sent to investigate.

They had determined that the temple had been unused for a very long time, and was slowly crumbling away. Nobody had been there for decades, and potential ancient Sith artifacts could be inside to be found and studied. But even knowing that no one was in there, everyone was on edge.

Anakin was a little calmer than most of them, a feeling that everything here was okay in the back of his mind. But with the odd feeling that he felt comfortable here in his head, he still jumped at the noises and felt nervous.

The dark halls were unsettling enough, but in the Force they dripped with hatred and the Dark side of the Force. Although non Force sensitive people couldn't sense it, just being in the temple for some time could give a headache and increased anxiety.

The clones' lights could barely light up the way, and the lightsabers were not any better. They were basically glow sticks, good in a dark smaller area, but if you were in a dark cavernous place like this, it didn't even dent it enough to see.

To make it worse, the wide area had lots of columns to help it stay up (even though that wasn't really helping it nowadays) and everyone kept thinking they saw shapes darting behind them.

So far they hadn't encountered anything, but was that good or bad? If they found something than that meant the Jedi back at Coruscant could study it and also that the Sith didn't have it in their possession, but it meant they had to transport the dangerous artifact or artifacts back home.

The idea of being stuck in a ship with an ancient Sith artifact made Anakin and everyone else uncomfortable. Just being in a place which had held them made everyone anxious and on edge.

As they walked through the halls, footsteps echoing, they came up to a fork.

"Uh master? Are we going to have to split up?" Ahsoka questioned, looking at Anakin. The clones looked over at him too, and Obi-wan looked at the two tunnels, studying them.

The Council had told them to spend as little time as possible in the temple, worrying of side effects on the Jedi. They hadn't really cared as much for the clones, Anakin just assumed they thought they would be okay because they weren't force sensitive.

"Uhm," he mumbled, looking at Obi-wan to see what he thought Anakin should do. Even though Anakin wasn't technically Obi-wan's padawan, Anakin still felt he needed Obi-wan's approval of important things such as this. However most of the time it was switched where Obi-wan wanted Anakin to do something and Anakin just did what he wanted to do.

This seemed to annoy Kenobi a lot and the thought made Anakin smirk.

Obi-wan looked at Anakin, with a look that said he could choose. They had enough men with them that they could all split into two and be fine.

"Ok yes, we are going to split up, Obi-wan, the 212th, and Ahsoka will go to the right. I will go with Rex and the 501st," Anakin said, hoping this was the correct decision.

Cody nodded and the 212th separated from the 501st and started walking down the right hallway, Obi-wan and Ahsoka near the lead. She waved goodbye and his heart slightly lifted at the optimistic padawan.

Rex started leading his men down the left hall, and Anakin followed with one final glance at at his padawan and Kenobi.
