Langa Hasegawa is not the brightest. Whether that be in any school subject, or emotionally. The only thing he really is smart about is snowboarding. He *has* been doing it for the past almost 14 years. Well, until recently that is.
A sudden turn of events led to Langa's dad, the reason why Langa loved to snowboard, no longer living. Next to no one aside from his mother knew what happened since he refuses to talk about it, or anything pertaining to himself anymore, at least not the deep dark stuff that is.
Next thing he knows, he and his mom are moving from his childhood home in Canada, to Japan where they both can get a fresh start. He meets this japanese kid, Reki Kyan, and before he realizes it, he's rediscovered the true feeling and meaning of joy, of wanting to actually live again for something. Or more accurately, someone.
OR
A depressed Langa meets occasionally equally depressed, sunshine Reki, after being destroyed by his dad dying sometime ago. Langa figures that maybe, he can get better for his newfound best friend. Meanwhile Reki has his own problems yet he tries to be the best supporter for Langa he can be.
They both discover themselves, and even eachother in the process.
