They’ve been getting along more than fine, but Yakumo isn’t going to be the one to bring it up. He just shrugs again, pretending it doesn’t matter at all, and tosses the pencil in the air. “I’ve got it! What about no sex? Can ya do that, Yatora?”
They break their one and only rule not even a week later.
The shit thing about being exes with Yatora is that Yakumo is so goddamn in love with him that he doesn’t remember how else to be.

Getting a good grasp of new concepts that never crossed his mind before is one factor that made Yotasuke get cold feet. It’s not unlike him to like something, or gain a new hobby, or shower love towards someone; what makes it new to him is he is experiencing it firsthand, with the person on the receiving end just an arm’s length away. Knowing that he’s real, that Yotasuke can talk to him, eat lunch with him, go home with him, and do things with him—it just makes his stomach churn uncontrollably. He thinks that it’s so unlike him, but he isn’t entirely blind about the concept of “like” and “love”, either.
Yotasuke knows that Yatora likes him.

“Damn bro, calm down,” someone muttered. “Didn’t know you were his bodyguard.”
“Maybe he’s got you whipped,” another chimed. They erupted in laughter again.
Hikaru kicked the ball hard. Too hard. It smacked into the fence with a metallic clang that made a few heads jerk up.
“Knock that shit off,” Hikaru barked, shoving past a teammate. “I said he ain’t gay. Don’t fucking talk about him like that.”
One wrong reaction shatters everything between them, leaving Hikaru wrestling with a fear he can’t name and Yoshiki trying to pretend he doesn't exist. What follows is a slow, aching unravel: avoidance, regret, the steady realization that losing Yoshiki hurts more than anything Hikaru was trying to protect himself from.
A short, four-chapter "what if" story about bad timing, teenage feelings, and the clumsy way boys learn what it means to be truly honest with each other and themselves.
