Summary
After everything, all Michael Afton wants is rest. Unfortunately, fate has never cared much for what he wants; and so he awakens instead in another world—one where Fredbear’s Diner never existed, where William and Henry have been rewritten as star-crossed lovers, and where he is once more trapped in the fragile body of his teenage self.
Thrust into their forever home as a stranger and adopted almost immediately, Michael must endure a second adolescence haunted by the sins of his first life. In fact, what should have been rest instead becomes repetition, each day a cruel reminder that guilt does not burn away in flames.
So now, caught between the life he lost and the one he has inexplicably been given, Michael must decide whether he can finally accept the peace being offered to him… or whether he is doomed to keep drowning in a guilt that refuses to let him go.

Henry scoffs derisively, crossing his arms to cover himself a bit more. “I’m not sure I wanna meet anyone who would think that.”
His arrogance makes William’s eye twitch, and he can’t resist digging himself further into this hole he’s dug. “Well, too bad, because you’ve been fucking him since college.”
After his wife left him, Henry notices he’s started to put on weight. William fails to see a problem.

Summary
Break the Cycle is a Five Nights at Freddy's au that deals with the concept of cycles of abuse, how they are perpetuated, and how to end them.
The Prologue of the series will focus on the pasts of the main players on the founding of Fazbear Entertainment- William Afton, Henry Emily, and Edwin Murray- as well as their families.
This series contains original characters as well, many of which will have large roles in later parts of the story, but there are plenty of chapters from the point of view of Canon characters.
This au also has a different take on remnant as a concept, with it functioning more like a form of plasma, something that all humans have in their bodies that can be manipulated when they die, either to give them special abilities, allow them to take control of particular objects or entities, or even bring them back from death.
PLEASE NOTE: i have poor memory and may sometimes forget characters that arent necessarily immeadietly relevant to the plot. But this is fanfic, not professional writing, so its really not that big of a deal.

It'd started as a joke, more or less.
Your little crush on Michael's father.
You didn't know why it persisted. He was cold, dismississive, downright cruel at times, but somewhere in your fucked little head, that appealed to you. The violence you recognized in his eyes on very reare occasions.
Maybe it was because he was kind to you.
You got little scraps sometimes. Lingering glances and honey-sweet, suggestive undertones when he called you 'dear', the occasional hand on your shoulder or waist if you were lucky, and you prayed you weren't imagining it in your desperation. He was a bone-deep ace you couldn't rid yourself of. You didn't know if you wanted to anymore. You were dependant on the comfort he provided. Michael didn't know you were serious when you joked about it and you didn't intend to tell him.
You knew it wouldn't happen.
Didn't stop you from wanting it, though.
After your parents had kicked you to the curb, Mr. Afton had taken you in with open arms. It hadn't neccesarily helped your feelings towards the older man. Today, it felt like forever ago.
You'd spend your university break with them.
