I was on Instagram scrolling through official World Cup news, mostly about Haaland because my algorithm was all him from stalking him so much, I scrolled until I came across this video, I clicked on it. It was a video of younger Haaland, he looked about 16, he was wearing a hoodie with that one emoji on it, the 100 one. He was standing behind a grill pretending to barbecue and he was singing a song in Norwegian, I didn’t understand it at all but I could tell he was getting into it, I laughed at it, it was going viral and was obviously an old dug up video that he didn’t want anyone to know about but something about it just made me want to smile, I hadn’t known him at this time in his life but watching it made me want to, every video I see from him from before we met made me want to know him inside and out, it was like I had this invisible string that constantly tied me back to him.
