It won’t happen. That kind of thing doesn’t happen to people like Shoto. But for tonight he can picture himself closing his eyes, letting go of the wheel, and stepping on it. The dark streets are sanguine, full of promise. Trees and houses blur as he drives in circles.
Then: a flash of purple hair, a dark blue hoodie that is probably his. Shoto steps on the brake. Tires screech on pavement. He tugs his seat belt across his body and it clicks into place as the car comes to a stop in front of the sidewalk.

Under the shogun’s rule, all supernatural creatures are captured and put to death. Bakugou Katsuki, a witch on death row, befriends a hapless prison warden, placing a curse on him and forcing him to aid his escape.
