And with nowhere else to go, you take it.As a citizen of Mondstadt running away from a life you once new, you take up residence in a cottage in the Whispering Woods trying to escape a fate that was forced upon you. Yet one fateful night, a red haired stranger lights fire to those plans, burning them into nothing but ash. With little left in your savings, you are faced with the decision to either go back home or move into the mansion of the guilt ridden stranger and his icy cold step-brother.

Panes of glass surrounded him on all sides, the space hardly large enough to stretch out his tail. Even though he was regarded as smaller among his kind, it was still a tight squeeze, but he made it work. Had to make it work, considering it was all Aventurine was provided.

Bookstore is hidden behind the overfilled garbage bins between Jaded Serpent Apothacary and Obsidian's Fury. It holds strange hours and is rumored to hold even stranger wares. Instead of having a Stoneheart manage the store, Bookstore is maintained by a college student named Kakavasha. Known for his frivolous personality and modest dress, most don't often think about little Kakavasha, nor the secrets that lurk behind his blithe smile.
Everything changes for Kakavasha when his handsome yet stern professor, Dr. Veritas Ratio, walks into Bookstore, causing Kakavasha to make yet another deal with Madam Jade, who is definitely not a witch.

“And what about you.” Dr. Ratio tilted his head thoughtfully, softness once again replacing the weariness that crept over his face. “Why did you come back?”
It was Aventurine’s turn to think, finding a way around the direct question. A specialty of his, giving half truths to those who didn’t deserve them. But Dr. Ratio didn’t fall under that category. Rather, Aventurine couldn’t bear revealing what he had been trying to deny this entire time.
He didn’t take as long to answer though, furrowing his brow for show. If his hand wasn’t busy keeping him upright, he would’ve rubbed his chin in contemplation.
“A little birdy told me something that I couldn’t deny.”
Aventurine returns from Nihility and has a few burning questions for Dr. Ratio regarding the note he gave him. They kiss about it.
