It far surpassed Mew in every way. But, it was obvious to anyone who’d ever researched the elusive Mew, the rare species was very clearly feline. Even the name, Mew, implied its cat-like nature. So, did that mean Mewtwo was also…?

Maybe it's just the nostalgia talking. Certainly it oughtn't stop Rose from having a lovely time here in the present. At the age when he's given up on concealing the wintry streaks in his hair, when his breath is quick to run out and his joints creak and pop at the slightest provocation, nothing can make him happier now than to simply sit atop this fallen log and watch the scene play out before him.
Especially when, from the looks of it, his pokémon might have missed the snow just as much.
