Summary
“What you seem to forget, mestamar, is that we are descended from kings and queens of old. Our blood has been entwined with magic since the centuries before our primary rise in the beginnings of the Aksumite Empire. Your beloved Merlin was documented at what? The 9th century at the earliest?” Her sneer marred wine-stained lips, twisting her ethereal features with disgust as palpable rage simmered beneath the surface. Her magic crackled with heightened emotions. A breeze of bitter spices clotted their noses at her rise in pheromones. The pressure grew heavier on the children’s chests and James’ breathing picked up, hazel eyes burning in opposition. “But our mages? They’ve been around since the 7th century BCE at least! We have a knowledge and appreciation of magic that you will never begin to comprehend, let alone obtain access to. This pitiful excuse of a society you all defend so valiantly will be the end of magic itself on those isles.”
As the mate of heirs to three powerful wizarding families, Ophelia knew she was destined for challenges. But trying to help a nation from imploding on itself? It would have been easier breeding Hungarian Horntails in her backyard.

Summary
5 Times Nara Shikamaru was convinced he hated Hyuuga Neji’s very being + 1 Time he realized it was something else all along.
To Nara Shikamaru, Hyuuga Neji is everything he dislikes in a person—cold, rigid, obsessed with fate. A prodigy trapped in a clan system he quietly despises, Neji is as brilliant as he is emotionally distant, and Shikamaru would rather avoid the drama. And yet, time after time, he finds himself caught in Neji's orbit—arguing with him, watching him, understanding him in ways that feel too intimate for mere comrades. Each encounter chips away at Shikamaru’s carefully maintained indifference, until it becomes impossible to deny: it was never hatred. It was never even an annoyance.
What began as a mental game—a challenge to figure out someone who made no sense—becomes a slow, inevitable realization that maybe, just maybe, he never stood a chance at staying uninvolved.

Summary
Zanka always held his head high, when on the battlefield- he was regarded with strength and logical analysis that Rudo wished to one day achieve.
When relaxing in the cleaners headquarters, Zanka seemed just as uptight- strung tightly as if one wrong move would have him kicked out to the poisoned lands of No-Mans land.
But, as Rudo’s stay at headquarters became longer and longer, he noticed the small reprieves Zanka gave himself. The days he would relax his shoulders, reluctantly ask for help, and seemingly crowd around his pack.
Rudo had never been in a proper pack. As much as he loved Regto, he wouldn’t call what they had an actual pack. Enjin and Riyo had said they already think of him as part of their pack- but it was ultimately up to Zanka to bring him in.
He was just waiting for that.

Summary
For two weeks, Kakashi leaves the house in the mornings to buy fresh groceries and let Naruto get some fresh air. He spends his time cleaning, changing Naruto’s nappies, or feeding him. He reads on a chair next to the crib while Naruto sleeps, and eats his own food one-handed, his left pointer finger perennially relinquished to Naruto’s unreasonably strong grip.
Every evening, he walks to the hospital and sits by Minato’s bed for a while.
“He did well today, sensei,” Kakashi mutters in a soft voice, rocking Naruto in his arms. “Drank his bottles at the right times and didn’t cry once.”
Naruto giggles, blinks up at Kakashi. He sighs, rocks him a little more gently.
On the bed, Minato doesn’t move. He’s pale and gaunt. The skin sagging a little. He looks older than he is. His lips are cracked, though Tsunade has assured Kakashi that the drips connected to Minato’s arms are keeping him hydrated enough.
“You’ve got to wake up, sensei,” he whispers. “I don’t think I can raise your kid alone.” He swallows the lump in his throat, squares his shoulders. “But I’ll do it. You don’t have to worry. I’ve got this.”

Summary
Zanka's been ignoring the letters. As long as he doesn't reply, they should eventually stop. Or at least, they'll become a problem for future him.
Except he's officially out of time, because his siblings have come to take him home.
Or: the one in which Zanka doesn't want to be in an arranged marriage, and ends up spilling the beans to Jabber during a fight. Jabber suggests eloping.

Summary
There's no way an omega like Zanka should even be allowed to roam around like this. He was far too dangerous, no alpha could claim him even if they tried. Zanka was clearly the one in full control, not whatever alpha was dumb enough to think they could overpower him.
(this is lowkey just hardcore porn but i cannot write without adding a tiny bit of plot LOL)
