Or, five times Wendy formed a bond with the inhabitants of the Mystery Shack, and the one where those bonds became apparent.

Summary
Stanford Pines was a man who rarely showed weakness. Years of inter dimensional travel and watching his friends and comrades die proved that weakness would only get him killed.
Even now, having just escaped from Bills torture, he was determined not to show weakness. He would hide his injuries from his family and shut them out, no matter how badly they begged to be let in. He just wanted to keep them safe and oblivious to what Bill was truly capable of.
Too bad Bill wasn’t so willing to let his plaything get what he wants.
OR
What if Ford was able to escape from Bill while being tortured during weirdmageddon? How would the Pines react when they find out what Bill did to him?

There were only a handful of people in the world who knew that childhood nickname, and only one with that voice, however different it sounded over the phone, but there was no doubt in Stan's mind.

Of course, Ford can help them fix their time machine, what do they take him for? And the kids can stay at his Shack in the meantime. But they seem wary - not of him, but of his muse: what could they know of Bill Cipher? What mystery lies that way?

Alternatively, Dipper and Mabel get a time machine thrown at them on their thirteenth birthday, which sets off, sending them to the times when Ford had still been living in the yet-to-become-Mystery-Shack, and subsequently breaks down. Neither of them are enjoying it - a ruined birthday, more perilous adventures, and constant danger from Bill Cipher's presence?
