Summary
When Aziraphale returned to the North Pole at the end of another successful run of delivering toys to the children of the world, the comfort of home was calling his name.
A fire crackling away in the hearth. The promise of his beautiful family coming together for their grand holiday celebration later that evening. Crowley waiting sleepily for his late night return so he could slip into bed beside her and rest his palm over her belly, where their newest baby was nearly ready to join them. Truly, there was nothing more he could ever ask to come home to.
Crowley and the baby had other ideas. Aziraphale had spent all night delivering gifts to others. It was Crowley's turn to deliver their own Christmas gift, away in a manger.

This was a kinkmeme prompt and as usual I can't do better than to paraphrase the OP :
Aziraphale is a frumpy, middle aged man, who's closing in on 50 : he's spent his entire life alone, mistreated by his family, and living like a modern times hermit in his familiar, reassuring bookshop. He thinks it's too late for passion. But he hopes that, maybe, he could find a companion for his latter days.
Crowley has spent his entire life having a wild time: parties, sex, rock n roll, all that jazz. He flew through the 80s, the 90s, the new millennium like a car on fire. He thought he had time, thought he'd be young and surrounded by people forever, thought with fling after fling after fling, someone would find him. Someone would look at him and choose him. But no one ever did.
To paraphrase (again) - they turn to an arranged marriage company. And they fit..

Summary
When Crowley is given the chance at a human life (birth to death, family, Free Will, the whole thing) he takes it. He does this, in part, to protect Aziraphale from being forced to take the same opportunity against his will.
However, once Crowley is off on this metaphysical adventure, Aziraphale follows after him, retaining his memories but becoming human himself so that he can watch over his friend.
Now the two of them are growing up together, one ignorant of their true forms and one all too aware of the strangeness of their situation.
Before it's over, the series will follow the two of them through childhood and into adulthood, eventually becoming romantic.
