Rosie blinks in surprise. Mama? She wasn’t a mother to anyone. Although, if this demon had just dropped down to hell, and she resembled his mother, she supposed she could see the confusion between them. ‘Oh, honey, I’m not…here. Let’s get you inside before someone eats you up.’
‘I’m…Alastor,’ the demon finally introduced himself. Rosie hooks her arm with his, helping him half walk, half stumble to her emporium’s entrance. ‘You’ll get used to the hooves soon, darling.’ He stumbles with a little fawn bleat, instinctively clinging closer to her arm. She huffs softly with amusement, muttering, ‘Just a baby fawn, aren’t you?’
Alastor shoots a glare at her, but she sees through it. He was adorable. Rosie gets him into a spare room she had for visitors, helping him sit down on the bed as she fetches nightclothes for him. He stares at the rather feminine clothes before shrugging and getting into them, falling down again. ‘Ratchet hooves,’ he mutters to himself, growling in frustration as he gets up. Rosie came back in after a moment to make sure he was alright.
She took him in.
(in other words, Alastor and Rosie meet. They both find out he's ticklish. Chaos.)

In a bid for the Vees to gain additional influence over Pentagram City, Vox decides to conduct some market research on the residents of Cannibal Town (which should also make for a great "fuck you" at Alastor, as he puts it). Soon enough, though, his meeting with the town's lovely ruling Overlord uncovers more about why anyone could be fond of staying in the past—and truths that only hindsight could tell any of them, really. Of course, Rosie can only offer advice and solutions at most. What either of the two other Overlords make of it is another story that this two-parter unravels. (Now a three-parter.)

Their dynamic had changed in the recent months, though Lucifer would be hard pressed to pinpoint exactly how.Alternatively: Alastor forces his newly found maternal instincts on a very confused, very unwilling Lucifer. That goes as well as you'd expect.
