When he was a small godling, Apollo didn't understand the point of the nest being so... closed up. Once he had his own kids, he found out it was to make sure no one attempts to escape.
Under the nest were golden chains and shackles hidden.
Zeus' lips morphed into a tender smile. The corners of his eyes were wrinkling slightly.
Apollo felt a slight warmth in his chest, but he quickly caught himself. He had spent weeks, months! Rotting as a human. Was he expected to just go limp, chirp, and melt like a good godling!?

Summary
After dying on the job a month before his 25th birthday, Harry Potter is offered three choices: return, move on, or go Back; back to a time before the Second War, a time where he can change things for the better, where he can protect Magic from the scourge of Voldemort's final grab for power, a time where he can give a younger version of himself love he'd never known.
Harry grabs at the opportunity, more than ready to right the wrongs of the past, but he doesn't think to ask how it'll work or where he'll be dropped. He doesn't think to ask Death where he'd come from or how he'd fit into this new world.
Now, living as Harrison Peverell alongside Theo and Teddy who travelled Back with him, Harrison has to figure out how to move forward in a world where his mere presence has already begun to shift the script, where simply rewriting history won't be quite as simple as it seemed.

“Six on one, huh?” Hayden says, looking down at the guy and then back at Shane.
“Yup,” Shane says. The cop starts to lead him to the car. He doesn’t bother to put up a fight. Just turns to J.J. and says in French, “I’ve been under the security camera since I called Hayden. It should have picked everything up.”
“Self-defense, then, and you can prove it. Yes?”
If the cop hadn’t closed the door then, Shane might even have responded: and I don’t have a scratch on me.
Or: After the fanmail video, but before Shane transfers to Ottawa, a group of guys sees Shane walking alone and decides to do something about it. It doesn’t go particularly well for them.
