"Are you sure that we are awake?" Rocky asked. Only, his voice dipped theatrically and he turned to face Mordecai. With one hand braced on the bench seat, beside Mordecai's knee, he leaned close. "It seems to me that yet we sleep, we dream. Do not you think—" reaching into his jacket, Rocky pulled out his flask. "—the duke was here, and bid us follow him?"
Mouth dry, Mordecai pressed himself back against the door. "What?"
Rocky sighed, and uncapped the flask. "My own fault, for forgetting."

Summary
The Lackadaisy was in resurgence - clear as day for anyone who dared to care. This invited its own flavour of troubles and a slew of other revelations. Yet Atlas laid burried, his murderer still on the loose, and it was only a matter of time before the individual threads tangled together for a hellish dance. For Rocky, a stray newspaper article was all it took to alter his entire life's course, where he would be just a little less lonely - where he would be just a little less uncertain of who he truly was.
"Well, look at what the dark visage flaunts. From afar, a tall, dashing shadow beckons. M'lord, would you honor me with this dance?"
With gritted teeth, Mordecai accepted the hand. "It would be my pleasure."

Summary
Rocky's first day at the Lackadaisy definitely could've gone better. He would have rather not made a literal mess of himself in front of the attractive triggerman more than once, but that's just the Rickaby brand of luck.

There have been notes of homicide in St. Louis, Missouri, and everyone is on edge. Business eventually falls short for the Little Daisy Cafe and the Hotel Maribel, causing both the trio of Marigold and Lackadaisy to put matters into their own hands, and, much to Freckle’s concern, Ivy’s amusement, Rocky’s insanity, the Savoy siblings entertainment, and Mordecai’s everlasting migraine with these people, join forces to figure out what this phenomena is. However, they all had one thing in common, despite the different sides: keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.

Summary
Rocky has made a considerable effort to be present. Or perhaps he’s made no effort at all and he happens to just be there. Whether Mordecai liked it or not, the tabby stood out to him like a thorned rose in a field full of unsuspecting daisies. Rocky, the rose that he is, draws Mordecai in like a moth to a flame. He couldn’t help it; it didn’t matter how hard he fought against it. Seemingly against his will, the tiniest part of him will react. His ears will perk at the sound of the younger man’s voice. His inquisitive green eyes track every movement the tabby makes, studying and anticipating what move Rocky could possibly make next. Rocky is unpredictable. That’s what makes him that much more of an enigma.
Mordecai prided himself in knowing.
But with Roark?
He just simply didn’t.
