    Even if Zhongli doesn’t hold his Gnosis anymore, he could still perceive the moment the divine throne of the Hydro Archon ceased to exist. Dear Childe, always at the center of the storm, undoubtedly found himself involved — and the flood is probably why his letters arrived only now.

    However, no matter how cheerful Childe appears to be in his writing, Zhongli can feel how tired Childe is, the more he reads.

    He also can’t help but worry that Childe does seem hesitant to return to Snezhnaya.

    With care, he piles back all the letters, leaving them inside one of the drawers of his desk. Then, he goes to search for his boss. He’s in need of an impromptu vacation.

    After returning to Snezhnaya Childe steps on the wrong toes with grave consequences. Yet he isn't the one Scaramouche really wants. When Zhongli is asked to ransom him not everything goes to plan. The Abyss is always closer than one would think, biding for its time after all.
