It's essentially the story of a straightforward, naturally earnest man and an absent-minded, sharp-tongued girl.
After losing her memories, Shinobu becomes remarkably oblivious to romance, while Giyuu approaches her with the emotions of someone who has unexpectedly regained what he once lost and with a collection of terrible advice supplied by Shinazugawa Sanemi. As a result, there will be plenty of comedic misunderstandings and chaos.

A modern school AU (senpai–kouhai dynamic) about a childhood friend pair: a boy who appears cold on the outside but is warm-hearted underneath and a tsundere girl with a prickly, short-tempered personality.
Their personalities are still fairly close to their canon selves. This idea came from seeing a fellow fan comment under a post about a collaboration involving the shrines associated with Giyuu and Shinobu's birthplaces, wondering what the two of them would be like if they had grown up as childhood friends. For some reason, my terrible taste immediately made me want to see a scenario where Shinobu is pressured by her family into calling Giyuu "big brother" (what awful tastes I have).
—If there's one thing that must be remembered from that youth that felt both slow and hurried, it's that each of them was like the sun to the other. He melted the hard shell around her heart, and she broke into the dark, forbidden depths of his inner world.
