He looks over at me, eyes wide and as if suddenly remembering what he was going to say, then he does that cute thing where he gets too excited to stop himself and opens his mouth before blurting out something totally stupid.
He slowly pushes the door open.
“Nayuta isn’t here, so it’s just us.”
Just us.
Alone, huh? not that anything will happen. And not that I care. And, why does it matter if we’re alone? or, if anything happens? what even is ‘anything’?
