They would ooze rumours of both you're name, placed with the utterly specific adjectives, 'deranged', 'psychotic', and simply 'sick'. That was what you were known for, context or not. It was a simple way of living, within the red-dirt town of Sandrange, with little entertainment and a harbour of saloon-goers in need of any form of entertainment, which made you a target whether you liked it or not. Although, not unfamiliar with the wording, it's both the eyes of their burning scowls and the words that spit like fire from their tongue's that become something you can never get used to.
So, you never left home. Cacooned in your home for weeks to months on end, all to hide from the town and the prejudice they willingly held, this torturous routine had only been broken by the two knocks on my door, and the call of the Sheriff requesting to come inside.

Summary
You spent five years studying until you became a real doctor at the age of twenty three. Today was the day you were going to fulfill the promise you made to yourself. When you entered the city you were taken aback by how large it was. The entire city was illuminated and it was almost beautiful in its own way. The magnificence of the city was short-lived when you saw the number of impoverished people. It was difficult to walk without bumping into someone. You walked through the streets although you didn’t know where you were going. You looked to the side seeing a homeless woman sitting on the ground with her two children sitting next to her. You weren’t prepared for how the city was going to break your heart. For a while, it was a wonder and mystery. Now, it was a tragic reality.
(You are a wealthy woman who became a doctor to help the people living in the Underground. You meet Levi and Furlan when they steal from you and you hire them to protect you. While living with them you become Furlan's lover and Levi takes an interest in you as well. After Furlan and Isabel die you are left with Levi and your child in an unforgiving world.)

Summary
There was a reason hybrids between human and demon were so rare. Even a pregnancy in a normal human pairing was taxing upon the mother but with a hybrid it was more often than not lethal. Human and demons were never truly meant to breed and for all successful pregnancies there were thousands of deaths, of stillborn or infants born only to die moments later from their conflicting nature or grotesque malformations. Or of purely demonic young eating their way out of their mothers and both dying as a result.
Mundus went through many humans, women abducted to the demon world by his minions, until one survived through the pregnancy long enough to birth a child which could pass for traditional human being. One which was too demonic in appearance was no use- he wanted eyes and ears within the mortal realm. Someone who could slip pass demon repellents and could search without scrutiny into unlocking the seals holding him prisoner. Something that could slip past Sparda's notice and to search, under the radar, for ways to fully manifest into the human world. For all Mundus looked down upon humans he wouldn't dismiss a tool without testing its use first.
