Summary
Everyone knew there was a traitor amongst them, even before Barbara had called in with the news. Statistically one of their own had to be infected, Bruce had tried to weed them out through a gauntlet of contingencies. Sunlight, holy water, a cross, and a million other supernatural alignments that he never thought he’d have to use in real life. They had all passed though, without a trace of discomfort, without a break in their facade. Even Cassandra had concluded that no one was lying.
But as time waned and more and more heroes fell Bruce couldn’t help the shiver of uncertainty that ran up his back every time he took in the group.

People thought that Bruce hated to be touched.
It was obvious why they would think that, his barely concealed flinch every time a hand grazed the back of his shoulder. His aversion to any sort of physical display of affection. The split second hesitance his body held when it reached out to shake a hand or help someone back up when they’ve fallen. His arms were perpetually crossed over his chest, or glued to his side. Unwilling to extend their reach even a little in case he bumped into someone.
He knew why people thought he hated to be touched, and even encouraged that train of thought to prevent people from forcing themselves in his space. In reality it wasn’t hatred that isolated Bruce from others, it was fear.

To save a planet on the verge of destruction, Superman had to take off for an extended amount of time. The mission was going to keep him away for so long that he was prepared to come back to a world where his human friends would have been gone.
However, in a twist of fate, Superman's mission came to an end earlier than expected. When he returned, he was met with a surprise he hadn’t anticipated : Bruce was now in a relationship.
Now, Clark needs to slip back into his old routine while wrestling with new feelings of jealousy and regret.
