The room was very quiet.
Izuku stared at her.
"...Sorry," she said. "Come again."----
"You know," she said slowly, "there has always been a joke in this clinic. Among the staff, for many years." A pause. "The joke was: always wash your hands properly around the samples. Or you'll end up pregnant." She said it lightly, but she was watching Izuku's face with steady attention. "It was always meant as a joke. Obviously. Because the probability of something like that actually occurring is." She paused. "Extraordinarily small."
Izuku had gone very still.

Sanemi felt his brain stopping for a moment as his little brother said those words. He scrambled up from his futon and ran to the window where Genya was, sticking his head out.
Outside, on the beach, a girl with black hair around her shoulders, maybe a bit longer, was wearing nothing but a soft red sundress while slowly walking inside the sea, the water already reaching her waist. She didn't look to be stopping anytime soon.

“Tanjiro? What have you got there?” Comes Zenitsu’s cautious yet curious voice. He peaks behind an indifferent Inosuke to peer at Tanjiro.
Tanjiro finally turns to face them, revealing a small kid behind him, clutching tightly at his robes. Zenitsu’s eyes widened in panic, “wha- what? but.. who??” he grumbles.
The kid laughs at him, her wild white mane dancing alongside the wind, untidy bangs sprawled across her forehead and messy pigtails flying freely behind her back.
Tanjiro laughs nervously, “she just..appeared out of nowhere?” he explains and Zenitsu gapes at him. “WHAT.” And only then did the child cease her giggles and opened her eyes to reveal a very familiar deep ocean hues.
And Zenitsu once again exclaims, “WHAT.”

After having stayed at Camp Half-Blood year round for nearly a decade, Steve was certain he’d spoken to everyone at least once. Still, the figure silhouetted against the setting sun didn’t ring any bells, nor did the voice that seemed to float through the room in the dizzying blur that was Steve’s frazzled mind.
“It isn’t like that,” Steve grumbled. He focused on the figure, his vision finally clearing enough to recognize the person talking to him.
Maybe there was one person he’d never spoken to before.
It's the summer of 1986 at Camp Half-Blood, and fate seems very committed to bringing Steve and Eddie together at any cost.
