Johnny groaned, dragging a hand down his face. He should’ve handed the amulet over to Bi-Han and let the whole world burn when he had the chance.
“No. Nope. Absolutely not." Johnny shoved him back against the seat. "You can't be serious? I saved your ass back there. That cancels out my side of the deal.”

Clark’s voice cuts through the quiet, warm with something like amusement. He reaches out on instinct, fingers gently curling around Bruce’s pencil-wielding wrist, stilling him.
Bruce doesn’t even flinch. Clark touches him with a kind of familiarity that he's never experienced before and it's... nice. Clark's touch doesn't jolt him like the others' do. Doesn't make his skin grow cold or his shoulders tense. And Bruce would never admit it out loud, but some days he only feels human when Clark is touching him.
“It’s not a pencil,” Bruce says flatly. “It’s eyeliner.”
A beat.
“Besides,” Bruce adds, finally risking a glance at him. “I saw you swallow a bullet yesterday.”

Clark Kent is handsome in that unassuming, boy-next-door kind of way. Clean-cut and wholesome. Almost impossibly sincere. His skin carries the sun in it. And that golden warmth is hard to come by in Gotham, where the skies are always gray, where safety often means staying inside, and where crooked electric companies syphon energy away from those that need it the most.
He is polite to a fault. Kind-hearted without calculation. Sweet in a way that’s entirely, almost disarmingly, genuine.
He wouldn’t last a day in Gotham.

In a bored manner, King Ganondorf asks, “The princess’s favorite flower, what is it?” And he does not look at Link while he asks this, nor does he bother to address Link by name.
Instead, he stares at the backs of his nails, idly pondering the blunt tips of them and their cerulean polish.
It takes a moment for Link to even understand that the question is being directed at him.
The women of the Gerudo court snicker and smirk behind Link’s back. He quickly fumbles with his hands for an answer and he is nearly halfway done with signing the words for ‘Silent’ and ‘Princess,’ when the King sharply barks,
“Do I have to ask again?”
Link’s hands still.
Or, Zelda is set to marry Ganondorf by the end of the year. In the meantime, Link is to stay in the Gerudo Kingdom on her behalf.
