Summary
Dick Grayson is missing, and it takes a frantic ex-hero (?) and a furious ex-mercenary (??) for Damian's emotionally repressed family to get invested enough to start looking for him.
Too bad Slade finds (and takes) him first.
Still hurting from Dick's orchestrated death, the Batbrothers are going to going to have to work through their emotions, and confront some truths (and their own demons) if they want to reunite with their brother. If they want to become family they're yearning for.
Meanwhile, far away from home, Dick is navigating the unfamiliar waters of the Wilson family. Reconciling his past and his identity with his future and the people he loves, while trying to not hurt both his families? Even Dick Grayson’s Eldest Daughter Syndrome might not survive this one.

Dick’s goal for Thanksgiving (code named Operation F.I.S.H.): A family outing to the aquarium.
It feels achievable - everyone has been getting along better lately, Jason is spiraling closer, Cass is coming home. But there is a lot of unspoken hurt in every direction, and Dick’s own position in the family is shakier than ever since Bruce returned.
If Dick wants to realize his dream of family bonding, there will have to be many painful conversations between all parties. Dick’s own secrets will need to surface, the ones he has long kept submerged, the ones he will fight to sink forever.
(Or: Where Bruce is just a bit darker, even less emotionally available, and treats everyone a little worse, and how they all fix their family anyway.)

Dick couldn’t remember how it started.
He never could. After years of screaming matches and biting words being spat at one another in yet another round of anger induced verbal abuse, the fight always played out the same way. The days or weeks leading up to the inciting incident would be fraught with tension. Patience worn thin by a scathing criticism here and a sarcastic quip there. Starting with a failed mission or just exhaustion from a particularly rough batch of patrols. Bruce would get in a mood, as he was prone to do. Acting more like a prepubescent boy then a man in his 40’s. And Dick would do everything in his power to direct his Fathers ire onto himself, away from his siblings' notice. Sparing them B’s cruel streak.
And Bruce could be very cruel when he wanted to be.

Summary
Fics for my universe where batfam is a little more stabby, kind of cult-ish, and not as friendly to outsiders. Batman is still part of the Justice League, but no one knows his identity, and they're a bit more scared of him. The batkids are equally terrifying, except for maybe Dick.
Basically, I love the concept of Batman's no-kill rule to be less out of morality and more as a threat of worse-than-death consequences. Except I wanted Dick to be mostly oblivious to his family being a bit, uh, overly violent.
The series starts out kind of fluffy and not dark at all, but in theory we'll get to disturbing themes eventually. The fics are ordered based on the timeline and not based on when they're posted.
