“so, you’re uh…” the blue skeleton in front of Sans had an odd pinched expression.
“an advanced AI” Sans clarified and his social program hissed at him to relax his posture “nothin’ more an’ nothin’ less”
Sans’ analytics quickly gathered the expression of each skeleton monster in the room to come to the conclusion that something was off. He carefully noted the odd atmosphere as the chime of a directive made itself known.
FIND A WAY HOME
Something in him settled and the red circlet at his temple evened out to a mild yellow.
“you sure about that pal?” the first skeleton’s red twin said as he picked his golden tooth after a pause.
“my social programming’s pretty complex, it can be hard to tell i‘m just a machine” Sans tried not to let incredulity sneak into his voice—of course he was sure.
“THAT CAN’T BE RIGHT” a lighter blue skeleton said rather intensely and Sans’ analytics scrambled to see where he went wrong “YOU HAVE A SOUL. RAZZ CHECKED YOU EARLIER”
Sans blinked at the accusation.
Or
Sans is pretty convinced he’s a machine, everyone else is convinced he’s got issues.

In the 1850s, when monsters and humans coexisted and the land was divided by countries and nations, one thing stood out. And apparently, it was you.
A slave, who spent her whole life working in the mansion of Mt. Ebott. You were a kind and well-mannered woman, as the scars trickling up your body could be proof of your discipline. You knew to speak little of yourself, you knew never to disobey the orders the head maids gave you, and always to know your place. Almost as if they treated you no different than a dog. So to speak, it was your life, and the reason why the head maids kept you alive. But little did you know you'd become the interest of the Lords that would arrive once a century.
The Lords you- the maids cared the mansion for. Fighting battles and travelling from one land to another consistently, they needed a place to rest, therefore the purpose of the mansion resting on Mt. Ebott. And since these maids were more than ecstatic for the upcoming arrival of these lords, you were wise to avoid them. Sorta.
Who knew dressing and acting differently would only attract unwanted attention? And they sure had a bone to pick with you.

(Y/N) had always had problems with sleepwalking and night terrors, ever since age 10. As she grew, her nightmares became less frequent, but her sleepwalking became more dangerous. She would wake up several blocks from her house, or sitting in her car, and all efforts to stop the dangerous habit were pointless - she could undo locks, move seamlessly through her home and even hold simple conversations as if she were awake. It was almost as if something was drawing her away from home.
One mid-winter morning, a blizzard kicked in, and (Y/N)'s boss insisted that she stay home. Taking this as an opportunity to take a short nap, she wakes up in the deep, snowy forest of Mt.Ebbot, miles from home. She makes her way into a cave to get shelter, unknowingly bringing herself to the mouth of the Underground.

Life or Death. My life for the past 10 years. Stuck in a game I chose to play. You can play it safe, you can adventure, you could fight bosses. I, as a beta tester had been on the verge of death far more than I would like to admit. Then, a blessing. Skeleton NPCs showed up and took guard, allowing me to sleep through the night without worrying someone would try to kill me.
Then… The game was beat. And we all started to wake, at least those of us who were still alive. My sister and her ?friends? ?lovers? allowed me to stay and recover. They are kinda weird though, sometimes I get blamed for things and some dirty looks. At least it will be over soon and I won’t have to worry about being killed.
