“Lex,” Clark yelps, “I mean, Luthor,” and then there’s a series of clatters and bangs that make Lex smirk. He clears his throat, deepens his voice, and puts on his best Superman. “What do you want, Luthor?”
“Oh, you know,” Lex says in his best airy supervillain falsetto. “It’s been so long. I was thinking we could talk.”
“We don’t talk,” Clark says flatly.
Lex sighs. “Fine,” he says. “Do you really want me to do this over the Daily Planet tip line?”
“Do what?”
“I’m staring at some photos of you down at the Metropark, Clark. What the hell are you doing?”
It’s clear from the pause that Clark isn’t sure how to answer that. Trying to come up with a suitable lie? “It … isn’t clear from the photos?” he asks, instead.
“You’re not gay, Clark!” Lex returns, annoyed.
“I’m not?” Clark sounds confused.
Or, Lex is turning forty-two, Clark is considering dating men, and as if all of that isn't enough, Superman decides he isn't fighting Lex anymore.

Summary
They were all jammed into the minivan, tired yawns and pajama pants still on. The vehicle was parked in the Dollar Store parking lot. John was sitting in the driver’s seat; his elbows resting on the center console, next to him was Guy and Hal sharing the passenger seat. The shared seat was reclined all the way back with Guy in the seatback leaning against the glove compartment. Hal was in the rear seat with his left shoulder resting on the door. Jess was sitting right in front of him holding a big light blue bowl; Jo was on John’s side. Kyle and Simon were both on the floor with various blankets and pillows under them.

You can’t help but laugh. To be fair, the letter does look like it was written over the curve of someone’s thigh as they tried to furiously scribble out every last thought they could document on the limited real estate.
Every single square inch of the paper is cramped with words so tightly smushed together that you can tell that the message is heartfelt. Or, based off of the fact that you can only read three words—‘fuck,’ ‘slow,’ and ‘Guy,’ it seems to ring…sincere.
You look up only with your eyes from the paper. “And he asked you to read this out loud?”

Summary
