Divertime: Insertions & Exce(r)ptions
(Life)timeline divergence in which (the introduction of) a single key/rogue/inserted(/removed) element knocks the characters' lives (significantly) off (their previous) course:
- (early) acquisition of knowledge/team
- additional (supporting) character(s) (child/friend/relative (OC)
- single character (crossover) time/dimension travel
- (sudden) memory loss/gain
(- different plan(s) (with canon goals))
Time/dimension travel fics where one (or more) character(s) is inserted into a different reality (permanently) & things change significantly

Summary
Gibbs had promised that he was doing what he could to get Tony off the USS Sea Hawk, but Tony had given up hoping for that miracle barely a week after he’d been assigned. He had been an investigator for too long not to know that, even though he hadn’t gotten to the bottom of the corrupt, rotting and maggot-ridden chest of secrets, buried somewhere in the ships entrails, he wouldn’t be getting off the ship alive. Already under constant watch, with every communication monitored, and subjected to horrific harassment and very obvious but unspoken death threats, when the announcement is made that the Sea Hawk would be docking for refitting and shore leave, Tony suspected that he would be ‘sleeping with the fish’ by midnight.

What if James Dempsey had found out that his little brother Brian had been killed by Ziva (in the elevator at NCIS) before the MCRT knew where the kidnapped Jenny Shepard was? What if he was able to take his revenge and he did it on live TV? How does the fallout change things at NCIS?

Summary
"Jason had been pretty catatonic after he emerged from the ground and Tim helped him, only nodding and pretty much letting Tim make all the calls though Tim was pretty unnerved at being in charge but to be honest, Tim would also only nod or shake his head if he had remained voiceless after screaming for anyone to help him or dig him out of his grave."
On Tim Drake's visit to Jason's grave, he finds something. Tim finds Jason first after he comes back to life AU.
