Summary
Sometime after Buck is back at work after the lawsuit, he and Bobby get trapped together and talk.
Well sort of. Buck is more slurring, really.
Written for Buck Week 2022 June 16th prompt: “You’re my family. No matter what.”

Tim has made a 15 part plan to convince Jason to rejoin the family. Current circumstances might just let him skip every single one.
Technically part of my ongoing series Unsassination of the Gray Son, but takes place before the main story and can be read entirely separate.

Summary
He smiles, all teeth, “Come on Replacement, I even got to the door with both legs busted. This should be nothing.”
“You’re right. Jason… Jason wouldn’t have given up. He would fight, I can still—“
The boy wobbles, and Jason has to suppress the mortifying impulse to jump to his aid.
“I can still fight. Batman needs me.”
“That’s a terrible idea,” he muses aloud, and if there’s a hint of real concern somewhere under all the roiling green, well, nobody can prove it.

Summary
And he was happy. They were happy. Finally together after way too much time skirting around each other.
The date was going so well. They finally got it. And then they fell.
And Eddie hates it. He hates that it feels like they’ve been doomed from the start. That no matter how much Eddie tries– and he does– he feels like something is out to get him. And Eddie might start believing in the Universe– right here in the middle of a pile of debris with his leg pinned and slowly dying. Because there has to be some force at play here– some entity that keeps dooming Eddie and Buck over and over and over again.
(or, buck and eddie go on their first date, and the ground falls out from underneath their feet)
