Summary
Doctor Ignatius M Foreman was a surgeon – or had been, until he retired. In his youth he had been an army doctor, accounting for the nasty injury to his leg. He had been born in London and had lived for many years in India. He’d recently returned to the city of his birth, intending to stay for a few months before moving on to a warmer climate. He’d taken a few rooms at the top of a large townhouse, where he lived alone together with his valet.
He was also, of course, not real.
