Summary
Shane Hollander became a lawyer to uncover the truth, fight for justice, and do the right thing. Defending a notorious Boston crime boss was never part of the plan.
But when his best friend, and managing partner, asks for a favor, Shane reluctantly takes the case. His new client comes with a long list of charges, a dangerous reputation, and a very hands-on approach to his defense. He wants a say in everything… and he refuses to stay at arm’s length.
The tension between them is undeniable, and the line between hatred and attraction is getting dangerously thin. What starts as constant arguments and late-night strategy sessions quickly turns into something far more complicated and much more dangerous. As agencies close in and stakes get even higher, Shane is forced to reevaluate everything he once believed in.
Law school teaches you two important rules: never ask a question you don’t want answered… and never, ever sleep with your client.
