The Livejournal of Taryon Darrington, Canadian Exchange Student and Volleyball Fan

Summary:

Taryon Darrington is seventeen, in a new country, and has a new livejournal account. So long, Xanga! He's also being introduced to the most American of all sports: Intramural Co-Ed Volleyball.

(An AU that takes the general tropes of sports anime and overlays it onto an American High School, circa 2003. Also it's an outsider point of view.)

Citizenmocha I am so sorry for not being able to finish on time, but I promise I want to write the rest of this! Thank you so much for your prompt, this has been a joy to think about.

I've got another thousand words written, but the rest of it is not in a state fit for consumption. Consider this a taste.

Also, I know nothing about volleyball and I think learning about volleyball would hurt this story.

Greetings, faithful readers! And thank you for the invite to join livejournal! I've had this invite for months but I thought I would say goodbye to my beloved Xanga at the start of my school year.

Yes, I've traveled to the south for a cultural exchange program, and my first day of school is tomorrow! I have heard stories about the American High School system, so I made sure to pick up an entirely new wardrobe of Tommy Hillfiger to make sure that I fit in. Nobody is going to scuff up my new white kicks, haha!

Anyway, I wanted to say hello from my new home - online and in real life! Thank you for all of your support, it means so much to me!

Doty Take This Down

I'm writing this from my first free period of the year on Doty, so I can't fill in the fun little music and mood options. Maybe later.

I have met a new friend in computer science class, and he's almost as brilliant as me! I asked if he wanted to 'hang out' after school today, but he had to go to practice. He's a member of Vox Machina, and a participant of the most American of Sports - Intramural co-ed Volleyball! He is apparently quite the sniper.

Because this is America, I had to ask him if he meant guns, and he said that too, but they got rid of the gun range because of an incient last year.

Oh, that's the bell ringing! I have to go!
