Work Text:
Aizawa stormed into the classroom. "Does anyone care to explain," He growled, "Why there are shackles, handcuffs, and a full jail cell in the basement of the dormitory?"
The whole class stared in silent shock.
"There's- There's what?" Iida asked faintly.
Midoriya, very stealthily, did not make eye contact with anyone. Everyone else, however, turned to stare at Kaminari.
"Wh- Me?! Why?!" Kaminari immediately began sparking.
"Because we know what you get up to with that Shinsou kid." Hagakure deadpanned. "And sometimes Todoroki."
"He's not even here to defend himself?" Kaminari pointed out.
"As for me, Kaminari knows I do not like the handcuffs." Todoroki said unprompted. "I am amenable to rope, however.
"Wow." Aizawa remarked dryly, "I did not need to hear that."
"You're making this so difficult for me, babe." Kaminari groaned.
"Beyond that," Todoroki continued, "I believe if anyone here were to hold someone captive overnight, it would be Iida."
"Iida?!" Uraraka screamed.
"Todoroki-kun," Iida said sweetly, "What is it about a police gag order that you do not understand?"
"The POLICE?!"
"I don't fuck with pork because a pig is a cop." Todoroki stated.
"TODOROKI?!"
"Hey, Midoriya," Mineta commented, "How do you feel about th
Midoriya was sweating bullets. As he stared a hole into his desk, the wood cracked and crumbled under his death grip.
"MIDORIYA?!"
Midoriya stood by, face buried in his hands, as the whole class gawked at the very professionally-built holding cell.
"Midoriya," Kirishima finally croaked out, "When could you have possibly built this?"
"This was a solid wall two weeks ago," Uraraka appraised, knocking on the concrete by the door. "You would have had to completely hollow out the earth behind it. It would have taken you, what, a month just to do that?"
"I built it last week..." Midoriya whimpered into his hands.
"Last week?!" Sero exclaimed. "How?!"
"What I want to know is why." Iida stated.
Midoriya slowly took his hands off his face to reveal his luminescent blush. "U-Uh, well, sssssometimes you think about how cute someone is, and, uh, you think about mayyyyybe keeping them safe at all costs and then next thing you know you've built a bunker to keep them in and now you'll know everything about them including their spending habits and daily routine and they'll be unable to live without you-"
"Deku," Uraraka stopped him, looking lightheaded, "Are you meaning to tell me you built a jail cell out of- out of cuteness aggression?"
"So, Mido's a yandere," Ashido numbly muttered, "Good to know."
Shouji bonked her on the head. "Don't just call people yandere."
"Did, uh," Mineta spoke up hesitantly, "Did anyone else find that, um... Kinda, uh..."
"NO ONE DID!" Jirou exclaimed.
"I did." Todoroki raised his hand. Ojiro also slowly put up his hand.
Bakugou considered every single life choice he had ever made. Did I do this? He wondered.
"If, it, uh, makes you guys feel any better," Midoriya feebly attempted to defend himself, "I didn't build this with you guys in mind."
Todoroki tsked and snapped his fingers, as if he had missed his train and was slightly annoyed by it.
"That really doesn't make me feel better." Tsuyu remarked.
"Wait, then who DID you build this for?!" Kaminari demanded.
"..." Midoriya mumbled something.
"Say that again." Jirou wheezed, "Louder."
"...ma." Midoriya tried again.
"One more time." Shouji urged.
"...M'n'ma." Midoriya finally uttered out before devolving into a bright crimson blush.
"MONOMA?!" Kaminari demanded. "MONOMA NEITO?!"
"WHY HIM?!" Uraraka screamed.
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR HORNY-ASS LITTLE MIND?!" Iida chopped.
"IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME!"
Everyone stopped shouting and turned to look at Bakugou.
"Who said that?" He growled, also looking around.
Aoyama suddenly put his head in his hands. "Oh my god." He realized. "Of course. Of course the two most influential people in my life are related."
"Aoyama?" Yaoyorozu asked, getting a flinch from the boy. "Are you okay? What are you talking about?"
Aoyama took a shuddering breath. "I have a... Benefactor who allowed me to take the entrance exam." Aoyama shakily revealed. "He, er, once regaled me with tales of how his younger brother kept trying to escape him, so he put him in the vault as many times as it took."
"...That sounds like what dad did to uncle Yoichi." Midoriya realized.
"Your family is in the habit of putting people in the dungeons?" Todoroki asked.
"Being a yandere is genetic?" Kaminari wondered.
"Nah, it's not yandere if it's your own family." Ashido disagreed.
"Ignoring you idiots," Bakugou interrupted, "Are you telling me UNCLE HISASHI IS ALIVE?!"
"I told you he was alive, he kept paying child support." Midoriya reminded Bakugou. "You SHOULD be asking when he came back to Japan."
"You SHOULD be asking why he was telling Aoyama-kun about the vault!" Iida put everyone back on track.
Aoyama began to tremble. The meaning, unsaid, was totally clear.
Aoyama was being threatened with the vault, for unknown reasons.
"Aoyama?" Midoriya said, walking up to Aoyama. "Aoyama. Look at me." Aoyama looked up into the intense gaze of Midoriya Izuku. "Something you might not know about me is I never let my friends go, ever." Midoriya stated. Bakugou shifted uncomfortably. "So I'm glad that my father changed his name when he came back to Japan. Because I'm going to kill him for scaring you like this and getting between us."
The room slowly looked around the prison that Midoriya had crafted before looking back at Aoyama, whose face was lighting up in realization. "Oh," He breathed, "I think I see the appeal."
Midoriya blinked. "The appeal of what?"
"Oh my god, get some context clues." Shouji moaned into his hand.
"Guys," Hagakure spoke up, "As sweet and scary-hot as that was-"
"Fucking what?!"
"What are we gonna tell Aizawa-sensei?" She pointed out.
"Shit, that's right," Jirou grimaced, "We have to somehow explain where this- this dungeon came from."
"Please stop calling it a dungeon," Midoriya begged, "I think the technical term is vault."
"I think a vault requires a specific type of door." Uraraka pointed out.
"What... Is the... Difference between... A vault and... A dungeon..." Sero typed out on his phone. "Oh, there's no signal down here."
"We're underground, kero." Tsuyu reminded him, "Plus, you wouldn't want your hostage to freely call for help."
"Just break their phone?" Satou replied.
"I can't believe I know these people." Bakugou massaged his temples.
"Back on track, I think we should just do that Spartacus thing." Kirishima said. "Midoriya can't get punished for conspiracy of abduction if we all confess to it."
"Wh- Guys, don't do that for me!" Midoriya exclaimed, waving his hands around to dissuade them. "I did it in my fugue state over imagining Monoma's favorite songs and someone else's lipstick on the nape of his neck-"
Monoma looked up from his needlework. "Do you ever feel like someone's talking about you?" He asked Tetsutetsu.
"It's probably just the wind." Tetsutetsu said offhandedly as he died in Minecraft again.
"...You mean the wind?" Monoma pressed, pronouncing it differently than Tetsutetsu did.
"...So you really don't, uh, need to take the blame for me!" Midoriya finished his long ramble about Monoma and accountability.
The class stared at him.
"Dude, everything you just described is stupid illegal." Sero deadpanned. "You're lucky there's no cameras in here."
"There are, but they aren't mic'd." Midoriya revealed before immediately burying his face in his hands again.
"I still think we should go through with it." Kirishima exclaimed. "Midoriya's always been an inspiration to me, and this is no different!"
"Did he inspire you to kidnap people?!" Jirou demanded.
"No!" Kirishima linked arms with Kaminari and Tokoyami. "He's inspired me to work together!"
"To kidnap people?!"
"I'm not quite sure Monoma counts as a person." Dark Shadow noted, "He's like, Belgian first, then whatever complexes he has takes up second through fourth. Human might not break the top ten."
"Putting that aside," Yaoyorozu sighed, "This may be our best bet to minimize damages. Aizawa-sensei already knows this room exists, so all he really needs is a name. If we refuse to cooperate, there's very little chance that we will be punished as a group."
They all got detention.
"This shit sucks," Ashido grumbled. "We should've just blamed Mineta."
"ME?!" Mineta screamed. "Why?!"
Ashido glared at him and said, "Does the name Nitro+chiral mean anything to you?"
Mineta blinked before he looked to his desk, ashamed. "I'll be good."
"Yes you will." Ashido nodded, as if scolding a dog.
"Midoriya." Todoroki suddenly leaned up to Midoriya's ear, his hot and cold breath ghosting Midoriya's lobe.
"T-Todoroki..." Midoriya shivered.
"What the fuck-" Bakugou grimaced.
"I have an idea," Todoroki whispered, "For your... Vault..."
Aizawa kicked down the door. Immediately, his nose flared in anger. "And what," He demanded, "Are you doing?"
Midoriya paused and stopped wiring up the makeshift electric chair to Todoroki's head, who was just sorta going along with it.
No one spoke. Aizawa was waiting for an explanation, Midoriya was frozen in mortification, and Todoroki was just very quiet by nature.
"It's a sex thing." Todoroki eventually decided on.
"No it isn't-" Midoriya hissed before he was wrapped up in capture scarf.
"House arrest." Aizawa growled, eyes blazing. "The both of you."
