Summary:

Johnny is a year from graduating, and if he doesn't spend his days playing some form of football or making fun of the freshman scare students, he watches the thriving Fraternity holding his houses previous member with fury in his eyes. Oozma Kappa without fail, manage to find a new member every single year and each one seems to be more naive than the last. Because if they had known the secret history of what the Dean called "the biggest surprise she's ever seen", they would see it as it is. The biggest Venus Flytrap in Monsters University.

Work Text:

"They're doing it again."
"Johnny, you need to let it go."

Worthington turns away from the window and sighs, flicking the wax from a lit candle off the mahogany table. "How did they get Sully wrapped up in their little scheme? They do this ever year!" He snaps, snuffing out the candle with his hand and storming into the kitchen. Randal, who was busy throwing a football around, follows him curiously. "They do what every year?" He asks, juggling the ball around with his six hands. Johnny stares unmoving at a wooden pillar. "They aren't who they're cracked up to be, Boggs. They're--evil. Somethin about them just ain't right."

Another member of their fraternity taps Randal on the shoulder and he turns, eyeing the book in their hand. "Every freshman that's joined their group has either been expelled or..gone missing." "They were murdered. It's no coincidence that the last person to ever see them was--them."

Chet sighs. "The rumor is that Johnny was friends with a freshman. They got along better than he had with anybody, much like now with Sully. Then suddenly, they stopped showing up to class. Johnny found out, questioned them, and they mentioned they joined Ooza Kappa. There's a silent rule across campus that..you can't tell anyone what they really are. You'll face something worse than death itself, but nobodys lived to talk about it. Anyway, Johhnys 'friend', went missing three months later. Ironically, it was a few days after the Scare Games. They won because of his friend, and they were found dead the week after."

"And nobody confronts them?"

"Nobody can. The Dean doesn't care. She wants a perfect record of scarers, it doesn't matter what we do to each other. That's why this party is going to be a little different."

Johnny turns around, determination and something dark in his eyes. "I'm finding out the truth."
