While most people can see one color Tommy can see three.
Brown, Red, and Blue.
You can only see your soulmate’s eye color even if someone‘s eye color is one that you can see.
Tommy day dreams how he’d meet his soulmates at all times. Would he meet them all at once? Do they already know each other and are just missing him?
Unfortunately he’d probably never find his soulmates, Tommy thinks to himself. There just isn’t time to have a family even if he’s destined to be with them. He has to keep the streets safe.
Tommy is a vigilante, better known, Theseus.
On top of having soulmates, most people also have a power. Life must be interesting, for someone at least. Tommy doesn’t have a power.
He doesn’t have a power yet he’s become a big problem for the Syndicate.
The Syndicate is Manburg‘s most notorious group of super villains. The Angel of Death with his gleaming wings and withering touch. The Blade with his tall stature and increased strength within bloodshed. The Siren with his charm and voice that can will you to do anything he wants. And they’re all soulmates.
(Tommy once thought in passing if maybe they were his three soulmates but he shook the thought off in disgust)
He was on patrol tonight. He’d stopped two muggings and gotten one drunk man to his apartment.
Tommy began to approach the alleyway, the one he keeps having the misfortune of meeting the Syndicate at.
He walks into the opening of the alley just to see if anyone had decided to pay him a visit.
Suddenly someone from behind him slams him into a wall. He pries free and he’s faced with none other than The Siren. He punches him in the face and attempts to step backwards. He trips on loose asphalt and hits the ground. Hard. The siren walks forward and Tommy scoots back to get away.
Two figures drop down from wherever they were hiding. The Angel of Death and The Blade.
All three approach at once.
“You’ve been causing us a lot of trouble, mate” The Angel speaks but the friendly name has no warmth behind it.
“We’re here to put an end to your nuisance” The Siren speaks with an annoyed tone “This is gonna be fun” he laughs out.
The siren walks ahead of his companions and lifts Tommy up by the front of his suit swiftly delivering a harsh punch to the face.
He drops his grip and Tommy falls. He try’s to get farther from The Siren but ends up hitting a brick wall which marks the end of the alleyway.
The Siren kicks him in the stomach several times. Tommy can feel blood rise to the back of his throat.
Siren keeps hurting Tommy and The Blade soon joins.
Tommy’s nose is definitely broken and some of his ribs probably are too.
The hitting stops when The Angel speaks up “Remove his mask, I want to see his face before he learns the rest of his lesson”
The Siren crouches down and Tommy weakly try’s to cover his face with his hands. He pushes his hands away and pulls down the black cloth covering his mouth then removes Theseus’ beloved rose tinted goggles.
The Siren drops the goggles and stands up in a startled fashion. The other two lean forward and if it weren’t for their masks he’d say that they’re studying his face.
His visions begins to blur and he feels very tired. All he wants to do is sleep. He begins to feel soft touches. Hands carding through his hair and gentle fingers caressing his cheeks. He knows they’re talking but everything sounds underwater.
He drifts of to sleep as he feels himself be lifted up off the rough ground.
…
Did Wilbur ever think he’d be in a situation where he’d just beat up his soulmate? No.
He always thought he’d meet their fourth at a café or just a simple shoulder bump while walking down the street. But nothing like this.
The moment he took of Theseus’ goggles he could see the glimmer of blue. He hoped, he PRAYED, that it was a trick of the eye he didn’t really see the color of Theseus’ eyes.
He looked to his dad and Technoblade, they saw it too. Oh god.
They all rushed over to their final soulmate’s side. Their final soulmate who’d complete their family. Their final soulmate who looked all too young to be a vigilante.
He cupped his jaw with his right hand and wiped away tears that were still falling. Tears that were because of them.
They did the only thing they knew to do. They brought him home.
…
Tommy awoke to voices all around him.
That’s nice, that’s comforting.
Wait, who would Tommy be with?
Tommy shoots up, wincing at the searing pain that rushed through his rib cage.
He’s on a bed, a nice one. With a large, soft, white duvet pooling around his waist. To his right are floor to ceiling windows letting in the cloudily fogged light from Manburg’s streets. He was so high up, where was he?
He looks to see the figures around him. There’s a man with brown hair and he’s wearing a fluffy looking sweater. To the brown haired man’s left is a man who has long pink hair. The pink haired man is wearing a simple white button up. The last man to the right has a hair color he can’t see but he’s got black wings and is wearing a white shirt and a dark colored robe.
There’s something about them though.. he can- he can see their eyes!
Before he has anymore time to think the brown haired and pink haired men are all over him.
They’re both asking him questions at the same time and looking over his face
“BOYS!” The man with blue eyes says “Please, give him some space”
The brown haired man (with brown eyes) and the pink haired man (with red eyes) hesitantly start backing away from Tommy eventually leaving the room entirely.
The man with blue eyes steps up to him “I apologize the can be quite overwhelming” he smiles warmly “I’m Philza, and those two were Wilbur and Technoblade”
Tommy made the mental note that Technoblade MUST be the one with pink hair.
Philza sits on the edge of the bed.
He smiles warmly once again “what’s your name, mate?”
“Uh.. my name’s Tommy”
“Nice to meet you, Tommy, we’ve been dying to meat you” he flashes a grin “Do you-“ Philza frowns slightly “do you remember anything from last night”
Tommy looks down, thinking to himself “ I was out last night and then-“ Tommy suddenly remembers, eyes wide “Are you-“
“The Syndicate? Yes” the man confirms.
Tommy’s breathing picks up. The Syndicate can’t have anything good in store for him, they could-
He’s brought to by gentle hands on his shoulders “Hey, mate, breathe, it’s alright it’s alright” he reassures.
“But- but you were going to-“ he stutters
Arms wrap around him and so do a pair of dark wings “Oh, Tommy, we’re so sorry” his voice wavers “we’re so sorry” he says in an almost inaudible whisper.
Tommy leans into the touch he’d so desperately wanted. He ends up drifting off in the Angel of Fucking Death’s arms.
…
He wakes up a bit later to Wilbur running his hands through Tommy’s hair.
“Hey, Toms, here have some tea” Wilbur hands a comfortably warm mug to Tommy who takes it graciously. Wilbur keeps his hands just below Tommy’s to make sure he doesn’t drop it.
When Tommy finishes, Wilbur takes the mug and sets it back to the bed side table.
He then gets onto the beds other sides and brings Tommy into a cuddle. He runs his hand through Tommy’s hair once more and he drifts off.
As he drifts of he hears Wilbur whisper “I’ll never forgive myself for hurting you” and the grip around him tightens.
…
He wakes up once again, he can tell it’s night by Manburg’s magnificent city lights.
The room is dark but the city is bright enough to make furniture visible.
He turns to his left where he is met with Technoblade’s blazing red eyes.
Techno is laying right next to him.
“Nice to see ya’ Theseus” he drawls out
He pulls Tommy close to his chest “rest easy, no one will hurt you ever again” with that he drifts off.
…
It’s still night, he can tell, but he wakes up to the rustling of sheets and bodies shifting about. He hears quiet ‘move over’s and soft shushes.
When everyone is all comfortable he realizes there’s now two other presences on the bed besides him and Technoblade.
He’s squashed in between bodies but he’s never felt more loved.
Maybe the Syndicate weren’t bad people.. Well, that’s a lie, but maybe they won’t be bad family members.
