Me and You and You and Me

Summary:

...and your friend Jason.

Things were just about to fall into place; Dick had a new therapist, he'd even gotten his own room, so why did Talon have to ruin everything again? This hadn't even been Dick's fault, it was all because of Talon! Now Talon was close to hurting his new-found family, the only ones who Dick had left.

Notes:

So... it's been a couple of months, how y'all doiiiing?

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

A lot had happened in a very short amount of time.

Dick hadn't been able to go back to Mount Justice. Bruce had sat him down and explained to him how he needed to get better before meeting the team again. Dick hadn't met Black Canary again, but rather talked to a new therapist called Heather. She was nice and Dick liked her, although he didn't get to talk too much about the whole Talon and Batman thing. Bruce had told him that he could try and talk some about his parents or something else. None of the bat family except for Jason knew about Linden and Dick was pretty sure that Jason hadn't said anything, not that Dick wanted him to say anything.

The memories were... bad enough. Dick didn't want anyone else to know, hopefully no one else would.

Still, Heather helped him a lot. He told her about Wally's room and how cool he thought it was and she told him that he should think about getting his own room while still being able to sleep with Jason if that made him feel safe.

Dick hadn't discussed that part with the rest of the family yet, but he kind of liked the idea of having a room; having something like his diary - something that only belonged to him. Not like his coffin, but maybe more as a safe space.

"Dickie? Hey what are you doing up?" Jason's voice causes Dick to turn and see him in the doorway.

He must've just gotten back from patrol, his hair was wet and he was dressed in black joggers.

"Just thinking." Dick answers, grabbing mini-Zitka and pulling her into his lap.

"You okay?" Jason asks, closing the door before walking over to the bed.

Jason's eyes were in their normal iceberg-blue colour; Dick remembers Damian mocking him about his description. Damian had told him that iceberg-blue wasn't a real colour but Dick told him that it was. He'd seen enough documentaries about the arctic sea to know, there were lots of different blue icebergs there. Some that looked blue because of the way the light hit them, others from turning over and showing off their butts. Dick liked those the best, because they reminded him that there were good surprises and that change didn't have to be something bad and scary.

"I talked to Heather today. She- I told her about Wally and his room... and I think I want that." Dick explains, eyes not leaving mini-Zitka.

Jason sits down next to him, putting a gentle arm around Dick's shoulders. "Sounds cool, whatever you want squirt."

"I know... I just, what if I don't like it? What if I get scared or sad?" Dick asks, slowly leaning into Jason's embrace.

"Wow, I knew that you were inexperienced kid but I thought that you at least knew how to use a door." Jason huffs into his hair and Dick rolls his eyes, playfully pushing at him.

"That's not what I meant."

"Well that's how easy it is. You can just come here or get someone else if you feel that way, besides, it'd be nice to finally sleep without your snoring." Jason teases, causing Dick to push until he's sitting on Jason's chest, Jason laying on the bed.

"I don't snore! You snore! You sound like a whale!" Dick laughs and Jason acts shocked.

"What? Me?! You sound like a fudging moose." Jason counters before digging his fingers into Dick's sides, tickling him.

Dick shrieks, laughing as Jason quickly flips Dick onto his back, continuing to tickle him. Dread catches Dick off-guard and the memory of being pushed down forces Talon to wake up in his mind. Dick tries to tell Jason to stop, but he's laughing too hard, not because he wants to but because he can't stop.

Dick panics.

Talon pushes at Dick, wanting to move forward and Dick tries to push back but Talon grows stronger, suddenly taking control and using Dick's body to grab onto Red Hood's wrists and shove him backwards.

"Don't touch us." Talon hisses and Gray Son disappears into the back of his mind.

"Dickie?" Hood asks, body slowly sitting up as he scans over Dick's form.

"Don't touch us without permission." Talon hisses again and Hood's body seems to deflate.

"Talon? That you buddy?" Hood asks, causing Talon to growl at the stupid question.

"The Gray Son does not want your touch. Does not want to be reminded of his weakened state at that prison." Talon continues, getting off the bed and to one of the books where he had stored a knife, in case the court came back or he had to defend himself.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare him, or you. You okay?" Hood asks, causing Talon to scowl.

"Talon is not afraid of anything, Talon feeds off of fear."

Talon grabs the knife, twirling it around his fingers before turning his eyes back to Hood, body tense and ready to either launch or evade an attack.

"Well, can you check on Dick? Make sure he wasn't scared?" Hood asks and Talon huffs, seeing Gray Son in the corner of his mind, curled up but he doesn't appear to be crying so Talon counts it as a win.

"He is weak but unharmed. Your actions reminded him, he is a weakling." Talon hisses at Gray Son who trembles under his voice.

"You want something to calm down? I could get you something to eat or you could take a shower." Hood suggests and Talon wants to laugh at him, but that's not how the Court works so he sends Hood an unimpressed look instead.

"Talon doesn't acquire sleep or food right now. Talon needs to uncover its mission, otherwise Talon will go back to the coffin for recalibration." Talon explains, analysing the environment.

The room was dark; the bed pushed up against the wall, giving Talon the perfect exit point to the window over it. Still, Talon didn't feel like going.

"Fine, what do you want to do then?" Hood asks and Talon dismisses the question.

It was never about what Talon wanted, never. Talon didn't get to want things, Talon had missions and orders from the Court.

But...

That wasn't correct, no.

Talon had rescued Hood without the Court's orders, the Court was lost.

Was Talon lost?

"Hey, wanna fill me in on your thoughts?" Hood interjects and Talon turns back towards him.

"Has the Court of Owls been eliminated?" Talon asks, voice still naturally still, no emotions present.

Hood nods, causing Talon to nod back. What was Talon supposed to do now? What was the point of Talon's existence if not to serve? Was Talon supposed to serve Hood now? Or Batman? Was Talon even supposed to exist? Should Talon find a gun or sword and plunge it into Talon's brain?

"You know, just because you've been a part of the Court doesn't mean that you can't be a part of something else." Hood continues and Talon hisses at him.

This was confusing. Talon felt as confused as Gray Son used to feel, and that was usually a lot.

Gray Son had a lot of feelings, a lot of everything.

"Talon does not belong here, this is Gray Son's home." Talon mutters to himself, or was it itself

Talon didn't know. Talon didn't know anything anymore, Talon wasn't supposed to be here. Be in Gray Son's head, or was it Gray Son that wasn't supposed to be in Talon's head? Who's was it? What were they? A monster? An abomination to all kinds of beasts?

Talon doesn't realise that he's clutching his head until he spots Hood moving closer to him.

"Don't." Talon hisses again, baring it's teeth at Hood. Its teeth could always work as a weapon, Talon remembers ripping out one of its target's throats with Talon's teeth.

The Court had been proud of Talon.

"It's going to be okay, you're just trying to get used to everything. I get it, waking up and realising that you're not who you used to be and definitely not in a world that's the same as your old one. It takes some time getting used to." Hood explains and Talon's brain helpfully reminds him that Hood had died.

"Do you think that Gray Son will perish if Talon dies?" Talon asks and something close to panic flashes through Hood's eyes.

"Yeah, but I don't really feel in the mood for either one of you dying." Hood states and Talon scowls.

"Sentiments, it makes you weak, just like Gray Son. Talon knows that there is no room for anything other than the mission." Talon states darkly, causing Hood to let out an empty chuckle.

"This is kinda like looking in the mirror. You remind me of myself kid, when I was BatBoy; so focused on the fucking mission, always a good soldier, never something else, never something more." Hood huffs and Talon sends him an almost intrigued look.

The Court had known about BatBoy and Batman's strained relationship, the way Batman didn't show weakness except when BatBoy was in actual danger. It had been Batman's fall, getting a partner.

"If there is any consolation; then remember that BatBoy was Batman's greatest undoing." Talon offers, unsure why he feels the need to make Hood feel better.

Hood seems as surprised by the turn, sending Talon a perplexed look. "Batman got weak, like you and Gray Son. Batman's greatest fear was not to lose himself, but to lose BatBoy." Talon continues to try to get Hood to understand.

Hood's face grows into something dark, like Cobbs would when he thought the Court wasn't looking.

Talon turns, moving towards the door. Hood wasn't going to answer, it would be better to go.

The hallway was long and dark, and so Talon decides to check each room, in case there could be something useful in some of them.

"Hey!" Hood whisper-yells behind Talon but Talon ignores him, he's officially useless, too similar to Gray Son - full of emotions and feelings.

Talon opens the first door, spotting a similar room to Hood's, there's someone sleeping in a bed that's unlike Hood's, not pushed against a corner but rather in the middle.

"Dick?" A voice full of sleep asks and Talon spots the boy and his features.

RedBat.

Talon closes the door, moving on to the next room.

"RedBird." Talon mutters, spotting him sleeping in his bed too.

"Grayson? What are you doing?" RedBird grunts and Talon feels the hand still curled around the blade itching.

Talon's last mission was to kill Redbird, perhaps the Court could come back if Talon completed it, or perhaps Talon could rest once he completed it.

"What's wrong with him?" RedBat's voice asks from behind Talon and Talon immediately whips around, knife ready to slash any threat behind him.

Hood's the closest so Talon lowers his arm, sending Hood a warning glare. "Do not interfere."

"Wait, is that-"

"Go back to your room Replacement." Hood orders but RedBat doesn't move from behind Hood.

Talon wonders what the best course of action would be; kill RedBird or kill Talon. It would be beneficial to kill RedBird, but the knowledge of Gray Son possibly hating Talon made something churn inside Talon's stomach.

Talon closes RedBird's door, moving to the last one.

"Batman." Talon whispers, looking into the big master-suite. The kingsized bed was holding none other than Batman, Gotham's dark knight.

"Dick?" Batman's voice was low and confused, it made Talon hiss.

Batman wasn't supposed to be this weak. Batman wasn't supposed to be this easy to kill, Batman was supposed to be close to untouchable. It made Talon want to kill Batman, although that would go against the Court's wishes, they didn't want to kill Batman.

They wanted to use Batman.

Talon walks out of the room, realising that all three of Gray Son's... acquaintances were standing in the hallway. Talon weighs the blade in his hand, he had to use it.

It would be shameful not to, especially since it was a talon's blade, it was the only thing Talon had that was left from the court.

"What are all of you doing up?" Another voice asks and Talon spots an older man; the butler, standing in a blue night robe.

Talon tightens his hold on the blade. This man was not a threat, but Talon was beginning to feel unsure about everything. Who was the enemy? And the enemy to who? The court, or Talon himself?

"Hey, look at me. Why don't you give me that?" Hood asks, voice still steady and calm.

"It's mine." Talon hisses, pulling the blade closer to himself.

"Okay, sorry. Hey, can you check on Dick again?" Hood asks and Talon takes a step back.

He was useless.

Talon served no purpose, Talon was nothing.

Gray Son was still sitting in his corner, not crying but rather trying to pull Talon closer and further away from his family, Gray Son's family, not Talon's.

Talon didn't have a family.

"Let go of me." Talon immediately hisses at him but Gray Son doesn't stop.

Gray Son was getting up and Talon tries to push him back into his corner, to regain Talon's power.

Talon didn't want to stay in the dark, Talon wanted to either be gone or be whole.

"Don't you think I feel the same? " Gray Son's voice whispers into Talon's mind.

"Talon, look at me. I didn't mean it like that, hey don't do that." Hood's voice causes Talon to look up.

The blade was slowly pushing into Talon's stomach. "Why? It won't kill either of us."

"Yeah, but it's hurting you." Hood states and Talon snarls.

"It's making Talon feel something, you have made Talon weak; just like you. A weakling craving something so unimportant, so non-essential." Talon pushes the blade harder into his stomach, the pain present in a way that Talon had not felt it before.

Talon remembers the simpler time; when the Court praised him, told him that he was going to do great things, Talon receiving the abilities; earning the abilities of stealth and the non-existing pain made Talon feel proud.

Now he just felt like nothing more than a tragedy.

"Hey, come here." Hood moves forward and Talon immediately snarls, but Hood's moving slowly, his hands slowly moving around Talon's body.

Talon's weak, human body. Talon lets him, only snarls in warning.

Then the sound of Batman walking up behind him makes him tense up. "What is going on?" Batman's dark voice asks, and Talon whirls around, rips out the knife in his stomach before stabbing Batman in his chest, not deadly enough to kill but the knife would be in the way of movement, lodged between his ribs.

Batman yells, a lot of people yell and Talon doesn't like that. Talon has never liked people yelling.

Talon takes them down quickly; swiping Hood's legs from under him, slamming RedBat against the wall hard enough to wind him and Talon swiped RedBird's legs before swiftly hitting him in the face. Talon stand before the older man, Talon doesn't want to hurt him, so Talon just runs past him with a snarl.

Talon escapes down to the bat cave, Gray Son yelling at him for hurting his family.

Where was he supposed to go?

Talon spots the weaponry and move inside. There are guns and shotguns inside along with other weapons.

One quick bullet would be enough, enough to end Talon's long suffering.

Talon grabs one of the guns, weighing it in his hands. This was it, the reminder of Gray Son's possible death wasn't enough to make Talon stop.

No.

Talon had spent too long being the soldier like Hood described himself to have been. Never taken anything he wants, never being anything he wanted to be.

Maybe Cobb or the Masters would welcome him.

Talon puts the gun against his head.

Then pulls the trigger.

.

It turns out; waking up after deciding to die was highly unpleasant.

It happened slowly, then all at once. Was it Talon? Was it Gray Son?

Talon.

"He's waking up." A familiar voice states, forcing him to try and open his eyes.

Talon slowly manages to pry his eyes open. He's laying on something hard, but at the same time something soft.

"Hey, can you look at me?" The same voice asks and Talon angles his head upwards, suddenly spotting Hood over him.

Talon's still in the weaponry, head laying in Hood's lap.

"You took one that had rubber bullets in it, still lethal for ordinary people but your almost non-existing healing factor saved you." Hood explains, voice soft and gentle.

Talon tries to look inward, to find Gray Son, but Gray Son wasn't in his corner, he was... injured. He was... bleeding?

"There is something wrong with Gray Son." Talon rasps out, trying to reach out to Gray Son.

"What do you mean?" Hood asks, eyes turning more worried.

"He's weak; physically. Talon thinks he's... dying." Talon manages and Hood's eyes widen.

"Can you do something?" Hood asks and Talon tries to reach out once more, but Gray Son's somehow too far away to grasp his hand.

Talon comes to a sudden realisation; a solution, he could push into the consciousness enough to take control, which meant that he could push backwards too, force Gray Son forward, but that would mean giving up control and returning to that vile corner in Gray Son's mind. While Talon still could enjoy the peace in his coffin, the mind would force him awake and present while being completely unable to proceed in any way other than in thought.

Hood would probably enjoy Gray Son's company more though, everyone would. Talon wasn't meant to be enjoyed, was only meant to hurt and kill. Talon was a weapon, Gray Son was somehow the wielder.

"Don't forget about Talon." Talon rasps, eyes turning vulnerable.

Talon decides to be as pathetic and weak as Gray Son, hand reaching for Hood's physical one.

"What are you going to do?" Hood's voice was rougher now, concern evident but Talon could see the wrestling in his mind; save Gray Son or Talon. It wasn't a real choice, but Talon felt... touched by Hood's sentiment.

"Talon will return to Gray Son's mind where Talon will continue to be conscious but restrained." Talon explains, voice darker.

Talon didn't want to do this, didn't want to be discarded in Gray Son's mind while being fully awake. That was the mercy of the Court; Talon didn't have to be conscious during the times where Talon was not needed. Now Talon was forced to be present, to be awake for everything while being alone and unable to do anything about it.

"If you don't want to do this, we can try to find another way." Hood suggests, but Talon shakes his head.

"Gray Son is losing time," Then, Talon says a word he's never used, not even to the court. "Please, help Talon out of Gray Son's mind. Talon does not wish to co-exist, neither does Gray Son. We are not meant for that."

Hood's eyes turn sad at the same time as they turn determined. "I will, and you're not alone. I'm here, I won't forget about you."

Talon nods, inhaling before closing his eyes and focusing on Gray Son's frail form. Then Talon pushes, pushes back while forcing Gray Son forward, pushing him forward while Gray Son lets out pained cries and no's.

Feeling disappears first; Hood's hand suddenly feel far away before it finally stops feeling at all, the cold and hard floor disappears from under Talon.

Everything fades in and out of focus, until Talon opens his eyes and spot the dark room he's now in, pushed up in the same corner he forced Gray Son into.

Alone.

Dick wakes up after a week.

He's in a different room, still looking like a bedroom but it wasn't Jason's. Still, Jason was sitting next to him in a chair, holding Jane Eyre. Dick watches him, Jason looks tired, sad almost. Dick should know, after all, Jane Eyre was Jason's comfort book.

Jason suddenly looks up from the book, probably feeling Dick's eyes on him, and puts down the book while sending Dick a gentle smile. "Hey, how you feeling?"

"Tired, and my head hurts." Dick croaks, accepting the small cup of water Jason hands him.

"Do you remember what happened?" Jason asks and Dick shrugs.

"Some of it. He hurt you guys, I wanted him to stop, I tried to make him stop but he was too strong. I hate him." Dick whispers and something complicated etches over Jason's face.

"He was scared, just like you were in the beginning. What happened wasn't his fault, and it definitely wasn't yours. Can you check on him? He checked on you while he was present." Jason asks and Dick frowns.

"He's a monster."

"Dickie," Jason moves closer and Dick nods in confirmation, letting Jason sit down on his bed. "Talon isn't a monster, he's been through a lot; just like you have. You two are very similar; both having been used for other people's want. He's done some messed up shi-stuff, but so have I." Jason explains, voice still gentle but Dick shakes his head.

"I remember him trying to kill himself, a small part of me wished that it would have worked. He's a monster Jay, even he knows it. I don't want anything to do with him." Dick whispers and Jason's eyes turn sad.

"Can you just check on him? Please."

Dick sighs but goes into his mind. Talon's sitting in the dark corner, he snarls at Dick when Dick tries to approach him. "He's snarling at me." Dick explains.

"Tell him that I'm thinking about him, and that I'm working on trying to get you guys separate bodies." Jason's voice was full of seriousness, something that was rare.

Dick delivers the message and Talon stops hissing at him, instead only glaring. "Hood is weak, just like you." Talon's voice was dark and Dick shivers.

"He says that you're weak, like me." Dick says and Hood sighs.

"Tell him that it's not okay to say that and that he should be nicer to you. You two need to start being nicer to each other, no mean talk I'm serious. Dick, you don't freeze him out or tell him that he's monster, and Talon you don't tell Dick that he's weak or stupid." Jason orders, causing Talon to roll his eyes while Dick sags.

"But he's the mean one!"

"Both of you." Jason forces and Dick blinks away his tears.

"Fine." Dick puffs and Jason ruffles his head, pulling him close until Dick's head is being pillowed by Jason's shoulder.

Both his head and stomach hurts, or at least aches but Dick's just happy that he's back, he's never letting Talon take control again.

Never.

.

Things were not the same.

As a first; Dick's gotten his own room, the one he woke up in. It's opposite of Jason's and it feels... good? He still slips into Jason's bed during times when he feels... sad, or scared and Jason keeps him safe. Still, he has his own bed now and Bruce even helped him put up his parents' poster and some other things.

The second thing that had changed was Talon. Dick was starting to hear Talon's voice inside his head; commenting on everything that happened in his head. It was like Talon had moved from his corner and closer to whatever screen there was in Dick's mind so that he could watch and hear everything that Dick's mind processed.

Talon had also become... annoying.

"RedBat is stupid, easy to kill, just drug his coffee." Talon huffs out during breakfast and Dick tightens his fists, muttering under his breath "Stop, we're not killing him, he's our brother."

"Your brother." Talon snarls back and Dick lets out a louder sound of frustration, catching the whole family's attention.

"Grayson, are you well?" Damian asks and Dick nods.

"Sorry, Talon's just being rude." Dick ignores Talon's glare and goes back to his cereal.

The family had slowly started to adapt to Dick and Talon's communication, Jason had been the quickest to accept it. He'd almost seemed happy when he realised that they were talking, even though they fought a lot.

"Ask RedBird why he's so short, it'll make him furious, almost like an angry pathetic little mouse." Talon muses and Dick sighs, asking him why he'd do that, besides, Damian was almost the same height as Dick.

"Entertainment." Talon answers and Dick shoves a spoonful of cereal into his mouth, deciding to try and block out Talon's obvious glee at making people miserable or angry.

Talon had become... human?

Or something similar to being human at least, the way Talon had started to understand social cues, humour, or at least some darker form of humour and even seemed to enjoy things. That made Dick think back to Wally; humour was his middle-name.

Dick misses him, even though they barely know each other, Wally was like a friend. A really nice friend, not at all like Jack. Jack had only talked about himself, Wally wasn't like that; Wally talked about everything and he even thought Dick was cool! Wally had liked his flips and Dick's humour.

"He thought Talon's skills were exceptional, he would be impressed by the Court of Owls." Talon murmurs and Dick hisses at Talon.

"He would not be impressed ! Stay away from him! " Dick makes sure to not yell out-loud this time, but rather think it in a loud enough voice that makes Talon smirk.

"Hey, are you two fighting again?" Jason's voice forces Dick to look up.

"No, he's being mean." Dick states angrily and Jason sends him a look.

"Both of you stop it. Talon don't antagonise Dick, and Dick he wouldn't antagonise you if you were nicer to him." Jason scolds and Dick is about to answer with a pout when he suddenly realises that the whole room has gone silent.

He looks around and sees everyone staring at Jason, even Alfred.

"What's going on?" Dick asks warily, edging closer to Jason just in case.

Bruce is the first one to recover, quickly coughing into his fist before going back to the newspaper, having it shield his face. Alfred is the second, quickly going back to pouring up Bruce's coffee while Damian and Tim keep staring.

Then, suddenly Tim bursts out laughing. He's laughing hard enough to have to hold his stomach, tears are welling up in his eyes and Talon's voice asks Dick if he's snapping, if it would be better if Dick would throw his knife at him to see.

Dick ignores him, but can't help but agree, it was a little disturbing.

Tim finally manages to get himself together, he dries his tears, chuckling. "I never thought I'd live long enough to see Jason acting like a parent, even better: a mother hen."

Dick sends him a confused look, because this was the Jason he was used to, back at Linden. Jason telling him to eat his food, Jason telling him to keep out of trouble or scolding Dick when he forgot to bring his sweatshirt when they were out in the courtyard.

"Shut up Drake, unless you want to wake with a gun in your face." Jason snarls and Talon practically preens at Jason's threat.

"Jay's just being annoying. We need Roy, or Pierce - they'd tell you to 'stop acting like something had crawled up your ass and died', that was funny." Dick giggles and Jason tries to scowl at him but the hidden smile causes him to just let out a grunt before looking down in his book.

"Do you know where Pierce is?" Dick asks after a while, Pierce had always been nice to him.

Jason shakes his head without looking up, Dick can see the way his shoulders tense upp.

"Is he dead?" Dick presses, and Jason suddenly slams his fist into the table.

"I said I don't fucking know, drop it Dick."

The room grows still for a second time, the only sound coming from Jason's ragged breathing. "I told you, I don't fucking- fuck I don't know. Just-"

Alfred suddenly walks over to Jason, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Why don't you come with me Master Jason?"

Jason lets out another frustrated sound but lets himself be guided out of the room. Dick stares down at his cereal, an empty feeling filling him up. He hadn't meant to make Jason angry, he just wanted to know if Pierce was alive. A secret part of him would want to know if the rest of them are alive too, if... Jack was alive.

"Are you okay Dick?" Tim's voice makes Dick look up and Dick sends him a small nod.

"It's okay if you're not, do you want to talk about it?" Tim asks, voice gentle but Dick shakes his head.

The rest of them still don't know anything about his time at Linden. No one knows about Jack or Tony, Jason was the only one and Dick wasn't sure if Jason even figured out that Jack had... hurt him too.

Talon knew, of course he did. They never talked about it, why would they? Talon would just tell Dick that he was weak again, that he was disgusting, worthless.

"So what are your plans for today?" Tim asks, putting away his laptop.

"I don't know, maybe do some gymnastics." Dick shrugs, biting his lip while Tim nods.

"Don't worry about Jason, he just needs to cool off." Tim sends him a comforting look and Dick nods.

"I think, I'm just gonna-" Dick waves his hand awkwardly before excusing himself from the table.

Dick doesn't know what he's supposed to do. He walks into his room and closes the door behind him.

Nothing was the same; Jason was different, Bruce was different, Dick was different. Jason had started to drift, he'd left the manor more and Dick had gotten a small cellphone where Jason put in his number for Dick to call in case he needed him. Bruce had become more... protective? He didn't let Dick out of the manor, not even to the zoo. Bruce had said that it was in case Talon would do something again, but Talon had calmed ever since Jason and him had become... friends?

Dick didn't like that, the fact that Talon stole everyone close to him, stole his freedom, stole his life.

Talon was a thief and Dick wanted him out of his body just as much as Talon wanted out.

"Gray Son, I have a proposition for you." Talon's voice suddenly utters itself and Talon almost sounds pleased with himself.

"I don't want to hear it. Just- just be quiet and leave me alone." Dick forces and Talon chuckles.

"And what if it's something about your idiot friend? The meta-idiot." Talon's words make Dick freeze up.

"What?"

Notes:

The reason for why it took me months is simple: I've been writing on not one, not two, but more like 7 different works. I don't know how I'm supposed to get my mind to focus on just one, rationality doesn't seem to be my strongest field... here you go though, and don't worry, I've already begun on the next work of this series!
Spoiler? Some more BirdFlash coming up, and Talon is... less murdery and EVEN MORE annoying (if not a little... wingman-y)

Stay safe and make sure you get yourself some holiday-cake!
Kudos and Comment are LOVED and ADORED!
Also its a bit scary to know that you guys bookmark some of my works, I didn't think I could like... drink tears directly from my eyes but apparently.... yeah no.
Until next time.
