Chapter Text

Loop #32

The kids instantly knew that this was going to be a fun loop. Only some of them were together, and only some of them had even met, but as they gazed around their dens at each other they just knew this was an odd loop, which meant they’d have lots of fun.

After all, they’ve never not been human before.

Seeing paws and whiskered snouts where hands and noses should be was a little disconcerting.

Midoriya, or Mosskit, was the first to leap up in the bed he shared with his mom and his sister Rosekit, a pastel calico with golden eyes, and his brother Sapkit, a tiger tabby with two blotches of golden fur on his shoulders. He was willing to bet they were Mina and Sero. Across the den, Swiftkit, Cinderkit, and Emberkit quickly ducked out too. Wind Clan camp was wide open as the dawn light was just barely peeking over the edge of the moors.

The kits were quick to identify themselves. Emberkit or Shoto had a deep red mark over his left eye, looking like he had been burned, while the rest of his fur was pearly white. Swiftkit fur was a deep blue-grey with ruby red eyes, making his identity as Iida easy to identify. Bakugou or Cinderkit had a fluffy pelt that seemed to fade from ginger to dark brown as it grew closer to the points of his face and paws.

“So…” Iida started, “This is weird.”

Mina just laughed, “Weird? We're cats! This is so cool! I wonder where everyone else is. I don't remember any of the other loopers being here as warriors or apprentices.”

“You have a point,” Shoto mumbled, “But father being clan deputy means I know where All Might is.”

“I imagine you do,” A low rumble sounded behind them making all of them flip around to see the ever-grinning face of Hopestar, the pale yellow tabby was tall and much broader than one would expect from Wind Clan but was faster than his build suggested, his bright eyes were all too familiar.

“Yagi!” The kits cheered, circling his legs, excitement bubbling in unfamiliar ways that they couldn’t really articulate. Vaugly they had to wonder if this was how Tokoyami and Tsu felt with their animal instincts.

“Hello little ones,” He greeted, soothingly, settling down to meet their eyes, “I see I’m not the only one up early, but I imagine we need to get you back to the nursery before your mother’s wake up, Clovernose will have my head if she finds you missing, young Mosskit, young Rosekit, young sapkit and I’m not facing Moonblaze this early either.”

Dawning realization washed over all of them.

“Omg!” Mina squealed, pouncing on Sero, “All Might’s our dad!”

“Don’t let the queens hear you,” Yagi warned with a fond chuckle, “Come on, we can talk more later.”

“We’re going to have to find the others,” He continued as he led them around from the elder’s nest where they had hidden, “It shouldn’t take too long to get a head count, especially since you kits all start your apprenticeships within the next few moons. I’ll figure out where Aizawa is and we’ll come up with a game plan.”

“We can help!” Midoriya tried to offer only to be nudged away.

“Not while you can’t leave the camp you can’t. We’ll figure out our next steps and then move once all of you kits are old enough. I’m estimating that everyone in class should be apprentices in the next three months especially since Baku- Cinderkit and Emberkit will be placed in Nettlestorm’s and Smokemask’s care today. I do believe that there are two apprentices starting with Thunderclan later this week and three with Riverclan.”

“Hell yeah!”

“Language,” Yagi reminded them with an eye roll before frowning, “Are you all sure you’ll be alright? This quite the change.”

“Are you?” Midoriya countered, pouting only slightly that he and his siblings were going to have to wait atleast a month and a half until they were old enough to be promoted to apprentices.

Yagi laughed, “My dear boy, the only thing I’m upset about is that Aizawa isn’t in our clan. I would have loved to see his reaction to this change.”

Across the territories the Shadowclan’s warriors that were rising for their patrols edged away from the rocky cave of the medicine den as near maniacal laughter echoed up from its depths.

Loop #117

“Aizawa-sensei, please stop hugging Kacchan,” Deku asked gently, holding the fallen clothes with blank eyes.

“No,” Aizawa chimed back as she continued to scratch the ears of the student-turned-cat in her grasp.

At first, they had thought the loop had been a mundane one, no powers, no heroes, no aliens or crazy magical girl-summoning creatures in sight. They were in a normal class with normal students, the most that seemed to change is the students were a bit scattered instead of being all in one class. That was of course until Midoriya came barging into the teacher’s lounge, Urarka, Bakugou, Shoji, and Momo behind him.

“Oh cool, female teacher loop,” Shoji hummed, running his hand through his oddly two-toned hair.

“Clearly,” Aizawa hummed, barely looking up coffee pot brewing her sixth cup of the day, “What do you want.”

“We’re cursed,” Midoriya deadpanned.

Aizawa supposed she should be thankful they atleast had the mind to make sure that only he and Yagi were present for this.

“What do you mean cursed?” Yagi asked, rising from her desk to stand next to Aizawa.

Momo gave Bakugou a hard shove from behind, chasing him to fall into Aizawa, her muscle memory having her catching the cussing student easily.

The puff of lavender smoke was new.

She blinked as the smoke dissipated only to freeze as she realized she no longer held a student but a gorgeous orange tomcat instead.

“Put me down,” the cat had growled, proving without a doubt that this was Bakugou, and at that point,t Aizawa was a goner. She laughed and snuggled the cat closer to her chest, rubbing his ears and scratching his chin with practiced fingers that had the usually explosive boy’s complaints and struggling fading almost instantly as he turned into a purring puddle.

She only slightly listened to the explanation Midoriya had begun giving, sure Yagi would fill her in on anything important later.

The curse of the zodiac, activated by hugging a member of the opposite sex, meant that any contact that was even close to a hug would trigger the transformation into their individual zodiac animal. Bakugou was clearly the shunned cat, while Midoriya was the rat, Shoji was the cow, and Momo was the horse. Uraraka just laughed lightly when Yagi turned to her.

“Oh, I’m not part of the curse! I just found out about the Sohma family curse and they were nice enough to let me keep the memories and keep being friends with them.”

“Keep the memories?”

“The Dragon is capable of removing memories,” Shoji told her with a shrug, “Probably best that Todoroki gets that power honestly. Oh, and he's like 25 right now. ”

“How many of you are affected by this curse?”

“Pretty sure thirteen of the fourteen cursed family members are loopers, ages all over the board,” Momo answered, “I believe Toga is the last of the cursed.”

Midoriya looked thoughtful for a second, “Now that you say it Akito is probably Toga.”

“Great,” Bakugou groaned from Aizawa’s hold, “Of course, the vampire is fucking God.”

“I need a raise,” Yagi groaned, rubbing her temble. Aizawa held Bakugou out.

“Do you want kitty snuggles? Great serotonin boost.”

“I’m not a damn therapy animal,” Bakugou snarled, finally managing to nip at Aizawa’s fingers.

“Brat,” Aizawa growled as she dropped him, quickly adverting her eyes as he changed back, “Where the fuck are your clothes?!”

“They don’t change with us, witch. The Rat already mentioned that.” Bakugou snapped back, ears burning bright red as Midoriya threw his clothes to him.

“That’s going to cause lots of problems isn’t it.”

"Oh so many," Momo huffed, "We have to be very careful not to touch people not cursed so much. Not to mention we are compelled to listen to our 'God' with no real way to fight back due to the curse's bonds."

"So what do you want to do about it?"

The cursed students shared a look before Midoriya stepped forward, "We want to figure out how to break the curse before Kacchan is locked up in the Cat's Room for the rest of his life."

"Still think we should just run," Bakugou mumbled playing with his bracelet that had been the only thing to transform with him, "I won't even be the one locked up. They're shoving me in the day after high school graduation."

They never really knew what happened to the lives they lived in each of the loops, didn't know if everything was simply erased, the world resetting like a wiped game file. Maybe the timeline continued, those consciousnesses believing they had finally escaped, or maybe they simply forgot the looping memories as the memories bounced to another timeline, a distant memory just out of reach as they continued to live their lives as if they never were anything but what they were meant to be.

"Not happening Kyo," Shoji grunted, "Might not like the Cat but that doesn't mean we're going to let this stand the way it's been."

"Alright," Aizawa said, a familiar burning of protectiveness deep in her chest, "Let's figure out where everyone is and start planning. We've taken on gods before, it shouldn't be too hard."

Loop #169

The door to the roof slammed open and Airu scowled as she took in the scene that greeted her. The pathetic boy she had joking flirted with had his face stuffed full of sandwich, sitting next to the demonic girl that she had been convinced she was going to have to kill not twelve hours ago. There was a discarded sandwich next to the pair that seemed to be discarded in a hurry. She huffed and glared at the girl.

"Please tell me you're not actually a demon I'm supposed to kill," She whined, "I mean I will if I have to but it seemed counterproductive to kill fellow loopers."

"Like you even could, bitch."

"Miss. Ayase!" The nerd yelped, and honestly, it was so clear he was Midoriya it almost hurt.

"Do not go back to calling me that," She groaned, "We only have loopers here, and you've been calling me Jirou for over 500 years by now, and to answer your question Himiko, no I'm not demonic. That would be Okarun here, and Aizawa. Speaking of which, get the fuck out from under the bench."

"Yeah yeah, you whiney brat," The plush toy grouched as it heaved itself  up and snatched up the sandwich that lay on the floor, giving a tiny wave to the pink-haired girl, "Welcome to the bullshit."

"That's a stuffed toy," She pointed out, "with an old lady's voice."

"Yup," Midoirya agreed, "Also Aizawa. As she said, 'Welcome to the bullshit.' We've got yokai, aliens, and curses this loop."

"Aizawa is an old lady cursed to be a stuffed Maneki-Neko?" She asked sitting down on the bench too, pulling out her own lunch. No reason not to eat while they figured out the loop's 'bullshit' as the others so kindly put it.

"No." The human pair next to her deadpanned as Aizawa cackled like a deranged old witch.

"She's a yokai that decided to fuck with Okarun and tried to kill both of us," Jirou corrected around a mouthful of sandwich, "My grandma, who is also All Might by the way, stuck her in a Manaki-Neko doll cause she kept trying to possess Okarun."

"Not my fault you brats kept going into places you shouldn't," Aizawa hummed, "Either way these brats were stuck with me even before the loop started. Atleast until we solve Midoriya's little problem."

"Shut up," The boy said blushing darkly, peaking Himiko's interest.

"Wait," She drew out, "Momo-rou-"

"Never call me that again,"

"-Said that you were demonic too," Toga continued like she had never been interrupted, "So were you the reason I saw those demonic wings drop the wash tub on my head?"

"Demonic wing-" Midoriya cut himself off to spin and shot a confused expression at Jirou, "Why did you drop a washtub on someone?!"

"She was being a bitch!"

"I was," Toga agreed, "So how did you manage to do that if you're not demonic? I was seriously thinking I was supposed to be like the holy Palidan to kill the unholy demon bitch to save the world."

"Why the fuck would you think that?"

"Why would a bitch with demon wings try and cave my head in?"

"They're psychic hands, and because you were being a bitch!"

"What I wanna know," Aizawa cut in with her 'I will make you all run so many laps if you don't shut the fuck up' voice, "How is little miss Pinkie here able to see your psychic powers. Only those with demonic energy or those with awakened psychic abilities should be able to see them. She has neither."

"Oh!" Toga said, reaching for her bag, "I think it's this thing I found. It kinda hit me in the head and then there were lots of bright lights and weird energy. Kinda added to the whole 'You've been chosen' thing and made me sure I was supposed to take out all the evil in the world. I mean even with my looping memories a Magical girl loop wouldn't be completely ridiculous right?"

"We've definitely had those before," Midoriya said, "The skirts are stupidly short for fighting though, you'd think magic would give you a bit more cover."

Toga stopped digging and looked at him with a raised brow, "Did you..."

"Him, Bakugou, Iida, Todoroki, and Kirishima were the chosen girls of the magic of friendship," Jirou snorted, trying hard to keep her composure, "We had to help them learn to fight in heels."

"Can't wait to get those memories back," Toga mused.

"Oh they're a treat," Jirou confirmed, "Either way what's the thing you found?"

"Here it is!" She cheered, presenting the solid gold ball only to freeze as Midoriya's face burned even darker red and he started to stutter. Jirou and Aizawa on the other hand started to cackle, wheezing as they pounded on the bench, "What's so funny?"

Notes:

So long time no see?

I am so sorry for leaving this story untouched for so long. It's been really hard to find the motivation to write for this since I got so burnt out on the MHA fandom and the toxicity that this story was bringing in. I never meant to make any of you think this story had been abandoned and I thank all of you that have been so patient with me. I really hope I can continue to update this story and give you guys all the ending to this story that you deserve

Either way I hope you enjoyed the update and I'll see you soon with the next chapter!
