Hermione Granger-Dumbledore
Since she could no longer return to Hogwarts with the Blood Wards activated against the Dumbledore family, and now the Granger line as well, Hermione had to go elsewhere to continue her magical education. Her parents did not want to leave Europe which left only Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. And since Durmstrang had records of her trying go dose a student that attended their school with mind/emotional altering potions they would not allow her to attend. This left Beaucbatons Academy of Magic.
Before being allowed to attend to classes, Hermione was given a cuff to prevent her from brewing or handling love or mind-altering potions within the school's Wards. She was also given a placement test to find out where she was in her education. It was a blow to Hermione's ego when the test revealed that she, the "smartest witch of her age," was found that she was at the level of a Beuxbaton's Second Year student shortly after they returned from the Yule Break. Madam Maxine and the Bauxbaton's Governing council gave Hermione two options. She could take the time to learn everything slowly which would place her with the Second Year students, or they could try to help her learn all that she needed to before the break where she would be allowed to join the fifth-year students.
Hermione did not think it would be that hard to learn what she needed to take her proper place so she agreed with the second option. It was harder than she thought as the tutor who was working with her covered more in a week in one subject that she had to deal with in a month of a full schedule. By the Yule Break, Hermione had only achieved some progress but not enough. The Bauxbaton's higher-ups having given her a chance only to see her fail at it, had no choice but to return her to normal class with their second-year students.
After the massive blow to her spirit in having to attend classes with kids, or as she called them brats, three years younger than her, Hermione never called herself the smartest witch of her age again. While she had covered some of the lessons with her tutor in the last term, Hermione still was placed just above the top fifty percentile of students in her new class.
Hermione focused herself on her studies trying to raise her grades which she did but never achieved breaking the top ten as she did at Hogwarts. She had no idea that she had only been ranked so high because her Grand-Uncle had changed her grades. When she finally graduated from Bauxbatons, Hermione tried to get a job in either the English or British Ministries but found she had not received high enough grades to do so. Wanting to prove she was still smart she tried for a Masters and thought History would be the easiest one to do. Just like she had an issue with the fact that Merlin had been a Slytherin Student back in her First Year at Hogwarts, Hermione's inability to accept something that went against her beliefs prevented her from ever gaining her History Mastery. After nearly a decade of work, she decided to change her Mastery to Defense like her Grand-Uncle had. This one she managed to pull off, however, it took her nearly thirty years to do so.
To support herself while she worked on her Masteries first History and later Defense, Hermione worked as an assistant in her parent's dental office before getting hired as a barmaid in her grandfather's place. When Aberforth died, he left the Hogs Head to her but due to her attitude, she drove away all but the most die-hard patrons of the place. Not that she minded for it gave her time to work on her Defense Mastery. By the time she achieved her Mastery it was no longer seen as a big deal. Thanks to the Study Group Harrison and his friends had formed at Hogwarts many of the students continued their educations leading to an upswing of people achieving Masteries in Great Britain and England.
Severus Prince-Potter-la Fey-Riddle
Since he had not wanted to be a teacher in the first place, though he had found he liked it after his son had come to Hogwarts, Severus turned down the position of Headmaster when it had been offered to him. He also convinced the Hogwarts governors to restart the apprenticeship program. With the program in place, Severus planned on training someone to replace him, thus allowing him to start up the apothecary he had always dreamed of. Severus had planned to be out of Hogwarts by the time Harrison graduated but it took another year for him to train an apprentice to earn their Potions Mastery to take over his post.
Severus opened his apothecary on Kelpie Avenue that way he could both sell potion ingredients, he would also brew and create his own potions. After the battle of the Heart, Severus met with Rowena's portraits. Now that the Heart was protected and Dumb-Ass-Door had been dealt with, Severus had asked if there was a physical copy of the book Rowena had in her portrait. Rowena was more than happy to direct him to her book where he found several more potions she had been unable to finish just like the ones that he had finished for her which cured Frank and Alice Longbottom.
Severus would alternate his time trying to create his own potions, and perfecting Rowena's unfinished ones. He still found time for his husbands, children, and eventually grandchildren. Thanks to the potions he created and perfected, Severus would go on to be considered the best Potion Masters in the world during his lifetime. He wrote several books on brewing that became standard for students all over the world in decades to come.
Tom (Riddle) la Fey-Prince-Potter
Even with Albus gone, Tom never revealed that he was the man the world knew as "Lord Voldemort." His secret was kept by his family, Knights, and the members of the Weasley and Longbottom family. Tom never even returned to the Wizengamot, letting James keep placing the family votes within the governing body. He was more than content with his job as a teacher.
After Remus had been arrested, Tom became the sole History Professor until Harrison's sixth year when a replacement could be found. Tom was a little disappointed that he was not teaching Defense like he originally applied for to protect James and Severus, but he still loved his job. After Severus left to open his shop, Tom was selected to take his place as Head of Slytherin House. When Narcissa Minerva Potter-Prince-la Fey arrived and was sorted into Hufflepuff with Sam Eleanor Zabini, Tom cheered the loudest out of all the staff embarrassing both girls but he did not care.
After Narcissa had graduated third in her class, only being beaten by her two best friends Sam Zabini and Arthur Flint, Tom became Deputy Headmaster under the new Headmaster Arthur Weasley. Tom and Arthur's time running the school was considered the best Hogwarts had ever been filled with both fun and education for everyone involved. Tom never did become the Headmaster of Hogwarts himself. For he retired at the same time Arthur stepped down.
James Potter-Riddle-le Fay
James remained in charge of their family's votes until Harrison was of age and took over the responsibility. Free of having to sit around and listen to the squabbling of the members of the Wizengamot, James joined Severus in his shop. James also expanded the shop to start selling Quidditch supplies. With the addition of selling quidditch items also led to James holding a flying class.
His classes were held at a little used properly in the Potter line with a lot of open spaces and Anti-Muggle charms on it. James soon had the property renovated by tearing down the existing structure, an old manor house, and putting in a full training field. The field became a hot spot for both summer destinations of kids home from school, as well as some people who wanted to put in more practice before trying out for a professional Quidditch Team. The only member of James' family who never came to the newly named Potter's Quidditch Bananza was Severus who still hated watching those he loved fly.
Pansy and Neville Longbottom-Parkinson
After graduating Pansy and Neville worked for Severus at his apothecary for a couple of years. While both came from semi-wealthy families they both wanted to work for the money it would take to start their own business. After four years working for Severus and James, the pair finally had enough money to start their own place. Pansy and Neville started a Greenhouse and Brewing company where Neville would grow all the plants that his wife would use to make potions that they sold to their clients. Neville would also sometimes sell the ingredients themselves to other Potion Makers. After their second year of marriage, and the first year of running their shop, Pansy announced that she was pregnant.
Nine months later, Augusta Galas Longbottom-Parkinson was born. She was named after Neville's beloved grandmother who had died of natural causes a week before her birth. Neville and Pansy doted on their daughter, though she surprised them both when Augusta showed she was more interested in becoming a writer than working with plants or potions.
Lucius Malfoy
On May 17, after the Battle for the Heart had taken place, Narcissa gave birth to a bouncing baby boy by the name of Regulus Tony Malfoy into the world. Lucius kept his vow to be around more during the boy's youth. This led him to work only as an advisor at his law firm and hire an assistant to help manage his workload as Chief Warlock. Both Lucius and his wife were glad to see that Draco and Dudley both doted on their new little brother as well.
Neither Lucius nor Narcissa even cared when a few years later it was revealed that Regulus was a Squib. The love they had for their son did not change as they quickly enrolled him in Sycamore Academy run by the Nott family. Even when Narcissa gave birth to a daughter when Regulus was four they still loved all their kids equally. When Delilah Walburga Malfoy was born, Lucius stepped down at Chier Warlock as he started to work from home to be around his kids. A decision that shocked many people who only knew him by his reputation, Lucius did not care what anyone said finding his life at home with Regulus and Delilah being the happiest time of his life.
Dudley Malfoy (Dursley)
Shortly after Luna graduated from Hogwarts, she and Dudley tied the knot. Dudley had invited Vernon and Petunia but when they tried to wreck the ceremony, they were escorted out of the event by Harrison who was one of Dudley's Groomsmen. Dudley had invited his parents to see if they had changed at all his his and Harrison's youth but seeing they had not, he decided to just leave them alone from now on. Thus giving the pair their wish to have nothing to do with the Magical World.
Dudley started to work in the Ministry's Department of Magical Child Welfare while Luna, thanks to what she did with Rookwood, was headhunted by the Department of Mysteries. Luna turned down working for the department full time but she said she would be alright to consult if they had any issues they were having trouble with.
A year after their marriage Dudley and Luna adopted a child that his department had taken from an abusive home. It would not be the only time they took in a child in need. After working at the Ministry for three years, Dudley after seeing so many kids in need and not being able to adopt them all. Dudley with the help of his friends and adopted parents opened up a magical orphanage to give other abused kids the same chance he had gotten. Luna loved the kids just as much as Dudley and was loved in return thanks to all the stories of the creatures she could see. Three years after the orphanage opened Dudley and Luna welcomed their own son into the world. One Solarius Harrison Malfoy.
Ginny Weasley
Ginny Weasley ended up marrying Leo Parkinson finally ending the Weasley status of Blood Traitors in the Magical World. She had not married Leo for this reason but because she had fallen in love with him. What surprised most people was that Ginny and Leo were married into a triad with their fellow Gryffindor student Colin Creevey. Attending the triad's bonding, Harrison and Dudley found out that Colin's father had been their Milk Man when they had lived at Private Drive. Mr. Creevey had been so happy to see both boys, since in their youth had observed how Vernon and Petunia had abused the pair, but had found all the reports he had made were blocked.
Ginny ended up working with Percy's mother-in-law when she was given a spot to play for the Holyhead Harpies. Meanwhile, Leo and Colin got jobs in shops in Diagon Alley, Leo worked in Quality Quidditch supplies while Colin worked as an apprentice at Ollivanders to learn wandmaking.
Molly Weasley
When Molly came back from her year-long sabbatical after the attack, she still found some mistrust from some of the staff at Hogwarts. Not only for her voice being the only one they had heard when they were trapped in their offices or the staff room but also for how close she had once been to Albus Dumbledore. Molly decided it was better if she was away from the castle. While she missed being a teaching assistant, Molly did not stop her work in Charms to upgrade Muggle items so they could work in the Magical world.
Due to her work, she was hired by Muggle Tech, giving her a ready source of birthday and Yule gifts for her husband. Working on upgrading magical radios, Molly got to meet her favorite singer, Celestina Warbeck. Since the upgrade to the radio her team was working on would allow them to play tapes like the Muggle boomboxes, she was able to get a signed tape full of what Molly considered Ceestina's biggest hits.
Harrison, Blaise, Draco, and Ron
All four males were changed by their experiences within the Heart feeling a larger connection to the castle than they had before. Each of them would come to work at Hogwarts after they graduated.
The school year after he graduated, Harrison came to Hogwarts to work as an apprentice for his father. Harrison also worked towards a Mastery in History during his apprenticeship. When he finally gained his Mastery, Harrison took over the History class from his father who decided to focus completely on his duties as Deputy Headmaster. When Arthur stepped down as Headmaster, to the shock of no one except for himself, Harrison was chosen to take his place. Harrison felt a little reluctant knowing he had some large shoes to fill after Arthur stepped down his husband convinced it to take the post. Blaise reminded him that if he did not like the job he could always step down.
Outside of his duties at Hogwarts, Harrison married Blaise the year their little sisters started Hogwarts. A few years later, Harrison after taking a Bearing Potion gave birth to twins James Severus Zabini-Potter and Arron Sanders Zabini-Potter named after all their male parents but Tom. A few years after the twins' birth Harrison gave birth to a daughter whom he named Betsy Luna which made all his parents laugh and led him to introduce Blaise to Betsy at Slytherin Castle.
Blaise also joined the Hogwarts staff after graduating when he became Quirrell's apprentice and worked towards his Mastery in Defense. Unlike Harrison, Blaise did not start to work as a teacher after gaining his Mastery since both Defense teachers were still fairly young and were not looking to retire anytime soon. Blaise was called in to replace Quirrel when he ended up retiring, but until then he had served a stint in magical law enforcement under Frank Longbottom.
Draco worked along with Seveur's replacement in the Potions department. Due to how long it took to gain a Potions Mastery normally, when one did not rush like Severus had done during his Mastery, by the time Draco had earned his Mastery he was able to replace the second Potions teacher. He felt a little strange teaching classes with Harrison and Blaise's little sisters starting in their O.W.L. year. Especially as he tended to be a fun "older cousin" to the pair of girls and had to be a somewhat strict teacher to prevent potions accidents. Something he had learned to do from Severus as both a student but also during his apprenticeship.
While Draco and Ron married a few years after Harrison and Blaise did, they did wait longer to have a kid due to their schedules. Unlike Draco, Harrison, and Blaise had done, Ron did not take on an apprenticeship at Hogwarts. No, he decided to follow his dream and try out for the Chudley Cannons. Due to the skills he had learned from Oliver Wood back at Hogwarts, Ron not only earned a place on the team but was made opening Keeper. Thanks to Ron's goalkeeping the Canons for the first time in over a century made it to the championships, though they did not get past the first round.
After three years, Ron actually made the Canon's Captain and got the Canons to the World Cup. While Canons did not win the game the celebration of reaching the World Cup led to Draco getting pregnant with their first child. After the birth of their son, Harrison Lucius Weasley-Malfoy, and a small injury during a match, Ron decided to retire from the Canons and take over the newly vacant position of flying instructor at Hogwarts.
With all four males now working at the castle they felt an increase of Magic, as if the Heart was offering their approval of them all being back. While Harrison became the Headmaster, Draco was the Potions Master and Head of Ravenclaw, and Blaise worked in the Defense Department and was the Head of Slytherin. Ron worked as the Head of Gryffindor and the Flying teacher. All four of them through their increased connection to the castle found they had gained some of the skills of the Founders. Harrison thanks to becoming the Headmaster gained the ability from Rowena that allowed him to access all the knowledge the castle had on a student just by looking at them.
Draco just like Salazar found he could easily add additional rooms to the castle. Not that he used it much since even when they increased enrollment after finding out Dumb-Ass-Door had prevented poor families with Dark Cores from attending the school there were still rooms to spare. Draco only used his new abilities twice, once to create a nursery for any staff that had kids so they had a place to go while their parents taught. The second time, Draco created new rooms was when he created Inter-House meeting rooms so that friends from different Houses had a place to meet besides the library or Great Hall when the weather was bad. Draco had the Hogwarts House Elf stock the rooms with various games and allowed the students to put up privacy or sound-canceling Wards around the table so they would not be distracted by other activities going on in the room.
Ron was given a similar power that Godric had which allowed him to create new passageways within the castle. Besides making his trips easier when he was inside, Ron mostly used it to mess with Fred and George and their kids. Fred and George with their husband Theo's help had managed to make copies of the "Marauder's Map" and had given it to their kid when she attended Hogwarts. Since Tom had made the map self-updating when he created a new one from the original Founder's Map, all the passages Ron created would appear on the copies that Fred, George, and their kids possessed. Since Ron only had the passages he created in use until he was done with them the passaged would appear and disappear from the copies of the map confusing the hell out of Ron's older twin brothers. Ron never told them he was the one who was doing it seeing it as a bit of payback for some of the pranks they had pulled on him as a kid.
Blaise's special gift with the castle allowed him to instantly affect the Wards of the place. Draco had used his help when setting up the Inter-House meeting rooms, but other than that Blaise just made sure the Wards stayed in the perfect state. With his connection to the Wards, Blaise told Harrison and the others that thanks to the castle absorbing Dumb-Ass-Door's body after the man had died, Hogwarts now self-updated the Blood Ward targeting the man's family. Even though the Heart was fully protected the castle would no longer let anyone in the Dümlock line no matter what they changed their name to, would be allowed back into the castle.
