Realized I never properly bookmarked this on ao3, and had to remedy immediately! An all-timer of a fic that I always return to. Recontextualizes AA4 through a Hitchcock-style plot that’ll keep you breathlessly invested through the entire word count. Extraordinary character work, for major and minor cast alike: I still think about Plum Kitaki. This story’s handling of Apollo and Phoenix is my favorite take on their dynamic I’ve seen put to paper.
Worth the trouble of exhuming the old kink meme to finish reading, every time.
