Summary
Don and Kathy would move in together. They would have a dog or two and then inevitably, a small parade of adorable little brats who would call him Uncle Cosmo, and they would spend less and less time with him, not on purpose but busy with the rest of their lives, and ultimately Cosmo would learn to make his peace with it because he’d have no other choice and he would have to try to move on and not live too much in his memories. He could picture it so clearly, he figured if the songwriting gig with Monumental didn’t pan out, he could always return to the backwater circuit with a new act: The Amazing Cosmo of the Cosmos—ladies and gentlemen, he sees the future, he reads the stars, he silently pines for his best married pal and all the while tap dancing!
Don and Kathy inviting him along on their honeymoon, though—that part was a surprise.

Summary
There are cops in the ED when Dennis arrives for his shift.
Not necessarily unusual, sure, but he could've done without the unwelcome news that there's a knife-wielding maniac on the loose in their immediate vicinity.
Figures this would happen on a Monday.

Summary
"There has to be something you want to come back for. Something you can’t die without doing.”
Robby’s gaze roamed across Dennis's face, tracing the planes and sharp angles of his features like he was trying to commit them to memory. He already had a long time ago. The horrible, aching knot in his chest dedicated to Dennis was a piece of Robby that he tried, time and time again, to rip out. Always to no avail.
If he had anything to come back for, it’d be this one thing.
"Marry me," Robby said.
Robby, about to head out for his sabbatical and never return, thinks to hell with it—nothing matters except for the very real, very inappropriate feelings he's been harboring for his first-year resident. So he proposes. And before he can take it back, Whitaker says yes.

Summary
Jack Abbot finds out that Samira Mohan has never finished with a male partner.
--
It occurs to her that she’s chasing him off, so she blurts, “You actually don’t have to apologize, he probably would’ve been terrible in bed anyway, they always are.” They’ve crossed so many lines tonight, what’s one more?
“Singlehandedly maintaining the orgasm gap over here.” She’s mildly successful at making that comment sound flippant, hands waving in the air.
“I don’t know if I can talk to you about this, Samira,” (I don’t know if I can handle hearing you talk about your sex life, don’t know if I can handle knowing men aren’t in the habit of caring that you don’t finish, don’t know if I can handle you. When looking back at this moment, Jack Abbot will recall the feeling of intense emotional whiplash, how one minute Samira looked thunderously furious at his interruption, and in the next she seemed almost bashful in her attempt to get him to stay.)
