Summary
November, 1989: Two years after Vecna’s defeat and the implosion of the Upside Down, and six months after the kid’s graduation, Steve Harrington might finally be settling in. He’s got a great new girlfriend, a place in Forest Hills, and a job he loves coaching a team of middle schoolers in the fine art of baseball.
He couldn’t ask for much more, not after all the shit he’s been through in the last six years. Really, it’s the life he’s always wanted…
But then there’s these military spooks showing up at his door, asking way too many questions about the familiar yet impossible voice he’s been hearing in the woods. For the life of him, Steve can’t figure out if it’s bad karma, dumb luck, or fate.

Summary
"It came back to Eddie in flashes, like headlights of a passing car illuminating the window of a house just long enough to see inside. A shitty, bloody, god awful house Eddie wished he could burn to the fucking ground just so he’d never have to look in that window again. "

Eight went in to the Battle of Hawkins and, by the skin of their teeth, eight made it out alive -- though not unscathed. Both Eddie Munson and Max Mayfield were ready for it to be the last thing they ever did, and now find themselves in Hawkins General in the dead of night grappling with the fact it wasn't. At least neither of them has to do it on their own.

Summary
The Fade tore itself open, as if demanding to bear witness to the death of Ghilan’nain.
As Lucanis watched, daring not to breathe, Rook struggled to reach the dagger and pull it free from Ghilan’nain’s corpse, every line of her body tensed to brace against the rushing torrent of light and pulse of raw magic. Then, in a blink, as her hand finally grasped the hilt, Rook vanished.
Three words and his name.
If Lucanis had known, he would have thought to ask for more.
---------
Six months after the death of Ghilan'nain and the disappearance of Rook into the prison within the Fade, the Veilguard finally finds a possible solution to retrieve their leader: using Lucanis' connection to Spite, send the assassin beyond the Veil, and get Rook out. Beyond that, however, he's on his own.
Contains heavy spoilers for Dragon Age: The Veilguard!
