Summary
Eli "Rook" de Riva found an unlikely friend in the grieving of a fellow Crow. One night, unable to simply sit by and watch an Antaam patrol as they escorted a cage-shaped wagon, they intervened- though the result wasn’t quite what they had hoped it to be. A temporary black mark against their name landed them an informal contract to join Varric's team in an effort to hunt down the Dread Wolf himself.
But life can be hard for an aquaphobe, especially when there's a new fight around every corner and the god in their head blurs the line between friend and foe.
This dialogue-heavy story leans into manipulation, but there’s fun downtime too. Somewhere. Mostly in Act 2. Some quests are detailed, and others are mentioned or skipped over entirely. Sometimes I send companions off to do quests rather than lazing around the Lighthouse all day. Because seriously, quit eating all the food without pulling your weight. We have a world to save!

Summary
Like her mother in the aftermath of the Conclave, and Hawke in the Gallows of Kirkwall, and even the legendary Hero of Ferelden, the King’s Warden, at the Battle of Ostagar: Solara was joining the ranks of heroic women before her, none of them ever having been asked if they wanted it.
They had all paid the price to save the world: a home, an arm, a life. Solara was selfish with what little she had left that she could call her own. And she wasn't ashamed to admit that she was afraid of what her turn would cost.
Nearly thirty years after Corypheus, after the Breach, after Fen'Harel took Nifera Lavellan's hand and heart, her daughters find themselves thrust into a world of blight, escaped gods, and a father's promise for a restored homeland--at the risk of losing everything they have ever grown to love.
Two Rooks and a King is the titular second installment in a trilogy following the events from Trespasser to post-Veilguard. You do not necessarily have to read Part 1, but it provides valuable backstory that may be missed if skipped.

Summary
A mutilated corpse is found in Treviso, and Rook has been tasked with the case. Her years of experience and careful tutelage under her parents, the finest detectives Treviso had ever seen, make her the perfect detective to take it on.
When she recognizes the victim found out by the docks, her Sergeant takes her off of the case and turns it over to the feds with the condition that Rook be allowed to assist in a less formal capacity. She is joined by two agents. Cousins. Lucanis and Illario Dellamorte.Lucanis is immediately drawn to Rook in a way he has never felt before. Or at least he's sure he's never felt this way, but something about her just seems....familiar. His careful lines begin to blur and pretty soon he's not sure if he's investigating a series of murders or if he's just trying to understand his magnetism to her.

"In Spite of the Gods"
Rori Mercar has never done anything but fall short of expectations. Never made a single good decision in his life. At least, that's how it feels. He shouldn't have expected his time with the Shadow Dragons to be any different.
"Rook" cannot afford mistakes. The future of the entire world depends on him. But it's easy to change a name, less so to change a man.

Summary
Kaela Laidir's life hasn't been the easiest: taken from Par Vollen at three, orphaned and made homeless at twelve, taken aboard a Tevinter galley as a slave at fourteen, freed by luck three years later and allowed to join the Lord of Fortunes afterwards. She's used to things going wrong for her, which is why she didn't really fight it when she was sent away with Varric because of annoying Rivaini nobles.
At least Varric treats her better than most people.
But of course, she should have known that'd go wrong as well—when they fail to properly stop Solas' ritual, and she's forced to take the mantle of leader, she still expects for something to go wrong.
She just never expected it to be in the form of falling for the Demon of Vyrantium.

Summary
Astrea De Riva never looked back after becoming a Crow. Viago saved her life, and she devoted herself to the only family she trusted, burying her heart beneath loyalty and obligation.
But somewhere along the way, that heart began to resurface.
In the people she never expected to care about. In the friendships she never meant to form. And in a Crow with haunted eyes who understood exactly what it meant to survive the Venatori.
Astrea never planned on caring. Fortunately or unfortunately, her plans never seemed to go the way she expected.

Summary
This is the sequel to More of a Rook than a Crow, which in turn is technically a sequel to Dragon Age the Veilguard. This means major spoilers for Veilguard!
Thedas is saved, which means that Isabella can return to the fold as Lucanis begins his new work as well. However, with a strange letter addressed to her at Villa Dellamorte, she is asked to discuss something that Viago was hoping to sweep under the rug.
The King of Antiva has learned that Rook was a Crow, and Rook has been summoned for an audience with the King. Only, Isabella hasn't gone by that name for several months and very few people knew who Rook really was. Is it a trap, or does the King really just want to extend his personal thanks to her for saving the world?
And when cloaked figures appear to pave the path for those from across the sea, it seems that Isabella might need to get the Veilguard back together to find out exactly what is going on.

Summary
“Oh, one day we'll get drunk together and trade old childhood war stories,” Rook says flippantly, in a gallant effort to break the tension. “I'm sure Tevinter blood mages are just as inventive with raising children as a Crow.” There's a jesting tone to her voice, but Lucanis recognizes a small, nearly imperceptible quaver. She'll hide it, make jokes about it, but there is a bone-deep fear there under her voice he's been trained to listen for. To find the vulnerabilities in a mark. He would never use this against Rook, but his training, too, is bone-deep.
Rook and Lucanis are more traumatized by their pasts before the Lighthouse than either would care to admit to. Slavery, Crow training, the Ossuary. Emmrich reaches out to both of them, and against the odds, they all manage to fall for each other and perhaps even heal each other along the way.
