The other eager first year yelled to the smaller boy to duck, to which he did not respond, the setter gasped, all the other players in the gym lunged toward the projectile's target in a futile attempt to stop it, and Hinata finally found his water bottle. His brief moment of victory did not last, though, as the ball slammed into the back of his head. Time stopped for one second, two, then the present came crashing down.

“I don’t, but thank you,” Shouyou says with smile, because he doesn’t – his skin is shower-pink and his hair is doing all sorts of weird and wonderful things, wild until he gets a comb through it, and he really is just standing there in his underwear. He hasn’t even got a nice shirt on or anything. In fact, compared to Kageyama, who’s over a head taller and sculpted with pretty eyes and glossy hair that does not stick up every which way, he just looks a little normal. Normal with electric hair.

At the hint of accusation in Tobio’s face, Hinata just stares at him, brown eyes round and unblinking, as if Tobio just confessed that he murdered someone.
Then he snorts, giving way to a loud laugh that rocks his entire body. “Oh, Kageyama-kun. You really are a dumbass,” Hinata scoffs, laughing even more.
Words aren't exactly Tobio's forte, and when they're in a foreign language he's barely able to understand, mistranslations are bound to happen.
