Brian thought, this is it. He’d somehow expected this to go on longer. When this deal first started to take shape, it was nothing but a blowjob with a gun to his head. He’d thought then that it was nothing but buying time, waiting for an opportunity. He’d given up on escaping, but he supposed he never stopped thinking of it in those terms: buying time. Apparently, his credit had run out.

No one had stayed with Obi-Wan in so long. His kind weren’t meant to languish in obscurity, denied contact, friendship, kinship; the wolf needed a pack. The human needed to remember how to walk on two feet, how to touch and speak rather than lick and growl. He had come so close to losing both, to being driven mad by both, basic mental needs denied until he was mindless, broken.
This was a good place to rest, decided the wolf.

For all that Chaeryeong would like to pretend, Ryujin has never been confusing or a mystery to her. She’s so sensitive and always speaks sincerely and acts without ever thinking first. Everything she tries to hide shows on her face without fail, words betraying her without notice. And in spite of that, Chaeryeong chooses to misunderstand her anyway. It’s much easier than the alternative and you can’t unring the bell.
