Zayne's pheromones, which smelled like fresh mountain air and mint, was not at all bothersome to Caleb, rather it calmed him down — like the pheromones of an Omega, and so, an idea sprung into Caleb’s head — if Zayne turned out to be an Omega there was no way his meimei would be stolen.
She had once mentioned that she wouldn't exactly mind an Omega partner but Zayne could easily be hitched to an Alpha because of their pheromone compatibility, then meimei would like Caleb more again.

"It's still there?" Enid exclaims and Wednesday winces a little before Enid winces back at her outburst but Wednesday is proud and glad that Enid doesn't apologize for being herself for that suited her best.
She was a fierce creature of the moon, worthy of an Addams' obsession, apologizing was beneath her.
"It's incurable. Did I not tell you yet?"
"You did not!"
Enid wants a dance partner to practice with so that she could enjoy the Nevermore ball and Wednesday volunteers, although after much persistence. Feelings emerge but so does problems. Can they both find each other in sickness and in health?
