“Ooo, really quickly, before I forget,” Marius continues, “On the last planet we were on, I met this guy who was exactly like you. Like, the literally male version of you.”
She stops scribbling on the page.
“You should’ve met him! You guys would’ve gotten along, I think. Or killed each other. Either way, it would’ve been entertaining!” He grins.
She forces herself to return it as best she can.
“Is that so?”...
“We haven’t tested it out yet either, but in the next few weeks, it should be ready for a test run! Think about all the things we could do in the future-past; we could go back and burn down that one planet we never got to! Oh, we could even…………”
She stops listening after that, instead zoning out towards the machine. It doesn’t look the safest; it looks like it might electrocute you, actually, but an idea is forming in her head. Not a good one, by any means, but an idea nonetheless.---
