Summary
Penelope could not breathe. Eloise floated like a waterlily upon the pool, the tips of her breasts pointed up above the water, her belly rising with each breath and her thighs spread wide. Beautiful, Penelope thought; so beautiful that she did not know what to do except look, her eyes tracing Eloise's skin. She wondered if the cool water felt nice upon Eloise's skin; if she was enjoying the lap of it against her body, against the soft skin of her breasts and between her legs as Penelope was.
"Penelope," Eloise said lazily, her mouth turning up at the corners. "You are staring."
Penelope swallowed, started from her daydreaming. She shifted beneath the water and watched its surface ripple. "No I am not," she insisted, her cheeks warm despite the cool kiss of the water. "And you cannot possibly see — your eyes are closed."
"I know when you look at me, Penelope Featherington," Eloise retorted, and her voice was silky, warm enough to make Penelope shiver. "Come. You do not need to simply look. You might touch, also. We are spinsters, are we not?"

Summary
He knows she is impatient - she keeps sighing and crossing her legs on the sofa next to him - but he doesn’t make a move, not yet. He wants it too, but he also wants to sit in this for a moment longer - his arm around her, some film on that neither of them are really watching. He can smell her shampoo when she rests her head on his shoulder and he lets himself pretend for a moment that this is a normal Sunday afternoon for them. He imagines that maybe they’ve just gotten back from doing their weekly shop, or brunch at Bridgerton house with his family. He imagines that maybe he bought that shampoo for her because he knows how much she likes things that smell like pineapple.
“Colin,” she says eventually, and there is something desperate in her voice, as though she is slightly ashamed about how much she needs this. Colin gets it - sometimes he feels ashamed about all the ways he needs her, too.
She twists to look at him and his resolve breaks.
“Okay,” he says, with a soft smile. “Go get the ears, bun.”
OR: Pen and Colin do some pet play - platonically, of course!
