“A toast!” A collective groan fills the room as Oscar raises his glass. They’ve reached the ‘unbuckle your jeans, lean back in your chair, seconds away from a nap’ portion of the evening. June is as horizontal as one can get while still technically sitting in a chair. Instead of expending the energy to lift her head up, she just moves her gaze from the ceiling to her father without moving a muscle. “Ahhh, knock it off. Calm down. Venga, we’ve got something to toast to.”

“Canned cranberry sauce?” Alex chimes in.
“My new lace tablecloth somehow coming out of this Thanksgiving dinner unscathed?” Leo asks.
