Arthur Morgan followed his own advice and left the gang when he had a child (the canonical Eliza and Isaac), taking up as a bounty hunter. Along the way he picked up a young John Marston, who thus never runs with Dutch. Despite leaving, Arthur never truly left his connections behind him, and when Dutch asked for help, he always answered. In 1899, during the event of the game, this arrangement might eventually force Arthur to choose to whom he truly owes his loyalty.
John sneered. "You think I'd protect Dutch Van der Linde? Believe me, if I knew where he was, I'd tell you. Hell, I'd go get him myself. He's worth 10 large right now."
Milton sneered right back. "I am not a fool, Mister Marston, kindly do not treat me as one. You would do nothing without Arthur Morgan's say-so, and that will be what puts you on the gallows right beside him."

Summary: When Cas arrives at the Bunker, clearly ill, and keeps having trouble remembering Dean or Sam or English, the brothers have to resort to a spell which paints Cas in sigils in an effort to anchor him to his own memories.
The brothers aren’t prepared to experience Cas’ memories for themselves. Through events they thought they knew and ones they didn’t know existed, Sam and Dean will have to face the fact that with the years between them, and even with Dean secretly learning Enochian, they still haven’t fully translated Castiel.
If this works, they will have Cas with them and a whole new understanding, but the full extent of what it means to be Cas might be more than Dean can handle.

The Darkness is finally gone and while there were rumors that God had made a brief appearance, he’s missing again. None of this would have happened if the Winchester brothers hadn’t screwed everything up. It’s time, the angels decide, to stop Sam and Dean once and for all. What they didn’t count on was Castiel’s resourcefulness. Instead of merely thinking outside the box to save Sam and Dean, Castiel decides to blow away the box entirely.
Canon-divergent from s11e23 ending. God and the Darkness reconcile without Amara bringing back Mary. Sam and Castiel return to the bunker without encountering Toni Bevell. Can be read as either platonic or Destiel, depending on your interpretation of subtext. No slash. Otherwise canon-compliant. References s6e15 “The French Mistake.”

Summary
The bunker door slams behind him and he finally lets his walls drop. Three sobs burst from his chest in quick succession. That is all he allows himself. Anything else would be excessive.
“We are.” He had said to Dean. And at the time he’d believed it… because he couldn’t bear not to.
Dean had realised though; they weren’t real.
He stops.
Soft chirping comes from a nearby bush. Inside a small nest is a lone dove, it’s wing is broken. Castiel can relate. He strokes the bird’s head tenderly and it nuzzles at him with its beak. “You’ll be okay.” He assures, taking a moment to appreciate the plushness of its feathers. He releases a small trickle of grace, instantly mending the bird’s wing. It chirps again, happily and burrows into his hand in thanks.
There was once a time when the bird’s aura would be enough to indicate it’s feelings but with his powers failing steadily, even that is no longer available to him. Even Dean’s soul… he would have liked to see it one last time… even that simple pleasure had been revoked.
So Castiel made his way towards his new life completely unaware that something sinister was watching him and to the pile of rotting flesh that lay just a few yards away.
